Hi, Barry and Randy! First off, I want to say that I'm a fan of Allen organs because I always enjoy listening to the Allen organ in the St. Joachim chapel at St. Anne/St. Patrick Parish in Fiskdale (Sturbridge), Massachusetts. It was installed in late 2006, I believe, and it's a 2-manual labeled as a "Quantum Renaissance" (which confuses me; wasn't the Quantum its own line, after the Renaissance?). Hearing that great instrument (and we had a great organist at the time) inspired me to take lessons of my own, however, due to being in high school/college, and my teacher's health issues, I haven't gotten very far in the last 7 years, but I hope to pick it up again soon. Anyway, thanks for sharing the "behind the curtain" of this amazing instrument. I'm actually a networking guy myself (I work in IT), and it was really intriguing to see a network controlling an organ. However, I do have to nitpick when you refer to the "network hub." Odds are it's actually a switch, not a hub; whereas a hub sends all data it receives on any port to all other ports, a switch isolates data port by port (wherever it's going), which results in much greater performance and security (I imagine the benefit to an organ would be reduced delays in action). Anyway, thanks again for sharing this, and I would love to see more videos of this organ, especially after it's installed!

Can you make a video of the final installation of this instrument? It would be interesting to see it interfaced with the pipes. Great videos. Thanks for all these behind the scenes tours.

I understand that you are the best. Yes there are some real horrible builders out there. well actually most of the others are horrible compared to Allen But most folks that would love to have a huge organ can't afford them especially Allen. Allen is the McIntosh of organs. But most of us are on Ihome budgets so I see nothing wrong with taking an old console and piecing together a Hauptwerk organ for the home. For church and for serious venues yes nothing I ever seen comes close to Allen even Rodgers are a joke now

Rodgers is indeed a joke,..you should see the way they are put together,..absolutely terrible construction! Johannus is also a joke for the way they are put together,..almost as bad,..if not worse,..than Rodgers! Neither one of those builders are in the same league as Allen,..especially when it comes to build quality! There's only ONE builder to consider,..and that is Allen! If you can't afford a new Allen,..there are some pre-owned ones out there to be had!
