William "Bunny Rugs" Clarke, the husky-voiced lead singer of internationally popular reggae band Third World, died of leukemia at his home in Florida, longtime friends and colleagues said Monday. He was 65. Former band-mate Colin Leslie said the singer died Sunday in Orlando a week after he was released from a hospital following cancer treatment. "Bunny Rugs' voice was distinct. He had a charisma and stage presence that was spellbinding with a smile that was vibrant." RIP Bunny Rugs. You will surely be missed.

When I heard this medley of old good songs of Third World, Memories come back in mind ... so many times of joy and pain and the third world music has always accompanied . On the death of Bunny Rugs I have great difficulty because it's as if he ( his voice ) that had always accompanied us was terribly missed. Third World came to play in New Caledonia three times ... RIP Bunny Rugs , Third World eternal

Never Again To See Him Sing On Stage As His Fans Dances Never Again To See Bunny Rugs Smile Light Up The Stage To The Roaring Sound Of His Fans Screaming "We Love You Bunny Rugs!" A Brother Has Been Taken Home But In Our Hearts His Music Will Always Stay Bunny Rugs Will Now Sing Among The Clouds And In The Heavens And In Your Memories You Will Still Hear Him Singing Loud And Proud!..."

Third World is so talented. They are more then just Reggae. Their musicianship combines: pop, funk, r&b, jazz & rock. Just an incredible band. Richie Daley = " Killing-It " on Bass ( as always ). oNe LovE from NYC

Probably my favourite reggae band. Disappointed that the American media caused such an anti-white opinion for Cat Coore.
