To clarify Humans are spawned with limited resources having to scavenge the map for more ammo, different types of weapons, and equipment. On the infected side, only the Alpha zombies have camo when crouched and a smoke screen. Regular infected just have the quantum translocator.

Fun fact: assassinations in Reach aren't random. They are determined by where on the opponent's back you hit them and if you are in the air or not.

I like being the Beta Zombie. The teleporter Plays are Vicious as hell and it almost ALWAYS works for people holed up somewhere. But definitely NEED forge maps. I need that dark and dank infection.

The alpha infected are the only with camo, and they need it cause catching Spartans early game can either be really easy, or you just got a squad of coordinated Spartans, so it helps.

I quite agree with this. It wasn't fun being infected. I haven't been able to play 4 and 5's but Infinite's adds a bit more fun to playing both sides. The infected are so fast and slidey that it gets tense in the l4d way when youre a survivor, and you can still just go to a very advantageous spot but you have to be good to hold out. I just hope we'll get more maps for the mode, especially more open ones

Even though reach's infection had Spartans with swords and no one had a problem but when halo 4 infection came out everyone complained it was flood related and when infinites infection came out everyone complained it was not flood related

Every map in the infection playlist is different from the slayer version. The maps were tweaked in forge just like many maps in halo reach

@@WhatsJamesNamethats how it's always been. Infinite arguably changed more than most. Halo 3 and reach got cooler ones as time went on. Infinite will as well. They already talked about it. They wanted to have the actual mode out for forgers to mess with before they added those kinds of maps. So they could truly be balanced and good.

After playing infection since 3 I gotta say this is the best infection mode yet.. the survivors have to play really tactical, scavenge fallen soldiers, rush dangerous ammo crates, and lock down choke points.. the zombie movement, and the sounds while the alphas are cloaked is scary af, any time a shroud is used it’s scary cuz you know they’re on their way to kill, the zombies have the ability to make some sick plays but it’s not over powered if the survivors play smart, if you learn the maps and get good the rounds can go the whole timer and can feel like a movie

Unknown emerald has already created a lot of maps including a studio 17 remake and I think there is a Drillsite remake so hopefully those will be added to infection 🤞

I think if they gave the infected the boost instead of reacon pulse and reduce the speed a little bit, the survivors pistols with decent ammo economy and the shotguns like in Halo 4, this game mode would be lit

If youre alpha, you have invisibility. Just wait and crouch walk around. You'll always get someone. If not, using the quantum translocator to ambush people who are camping. You essentially just run towards them and teleport before they kill you, then you leave a portal from where you teleported allowing you to teleport back right in front of them. Tip: the direction you're looking will be the direction you're looking at when you teleport back. So if you're looking South and the enemies are South but you're looking North when you teleport back, your momentum will be carried North. So keep the cardinal directions on your mind when using the equipment.

Ive been playing it last few days after dropping it at launch. It's really good now, I forgot how addictive the halo gameplay is, and on MnK finally. It feels like the perfect evolution of the classic games, the only issue is the player base is so small. I've finally started wanting to grind Arena but I can't find games sometimes.

Yeah they're zombies are way too fast and you can't tweak a lot of their settings in custom games. The server issues bleed into infection like desync and latency causing you to swap when you should have killed the zombie. Overall it plays real loose in a bad way and sweaty.
