my older brother and i wanted to get into ‘Cube World’, but our parents also didn’t feel like spending the money. We wound up getting a Black Lab puppy for christmas morning instead…apparently our parent’s discussed it at length and came to the decision that a puppy was just a better investment (I was in fifth grade and my brother was in Eighth, and we had actually never had puppy before. They felt that not only was a puppy a FAR more epic present than what was essentially a glorified digital ant farm, but helping raise one was a GREAT character building opportunity that we had not yet gotten.). In the end i can’t complain, we all ADORED Astro, and i did learn many life lessons about responsibility, life, and eventually…LOSS. We were all heartbroken when he developed lung cancer and had to be put down many years later.
