Depends on what information is presented. It does it’s format perfect but leaves a lot to desire when being better at learning by example. (Like showing proper positioning on the field or showing how to approach different situations)

Another way is to buy from Wargames Atlantic. Depending on the box set, if you buy the same box in bulk for the big discount, you can get 200-300 models for $265. 400 models, if you buy the Afghan Warriors box. (Granted, you'd need a lot of supplementary weapon parts if you want anything besides "lasguns", and even infantry heavy lists don't need more than ~300 guardsmen; you could probably get away with the 5 box deal for 200 models and supplement with other units...or the upcoming Afghan Cavalry, if you want some Rough Riders).

practical or not the killteam box inspired me to get back into 40k. im building a krieg centric army because they're awesome. im currently 40 infantry minis deep and growing.

^This. Grenade Launchers either need to be cheaper or more powerful. It's both narratively weird and boring to see nothing but plasma and meltas.

@@Bluecho4 you used to only have the option of flamer or grenade launcher, I always favoured the later as you try not get the guard into combat and the 6 inch flamer range was too close for comfort!!.

Does creed have to be your warlord if you take him? Straken has the same trait restrictions so i just make one of my tank commanders my warlord instead. You cant give up a mandatory warlord trait for a tank ace ability.

@@caseco4979 No, Straken (or Creed for that matter) does not have to be your Warlord. It is only if you do make a named character your Warlord that you cannot exchange their Warlord Trait for a Tank Ace. However, I would advise against making a Tank Commander your Warlord since they do not have the character protection (Look out sir). Even if your Warlord is not your Tank Commander, you can still exchange their Warlord Trait for a Tank Ace that you can give to your Tank Commander. For example, it is better to make a Company Commander your Warlord, give them a Relic and forego the Warlord Trait for a Tank Ace. This way your relic bearer will be much more safe.

Honestly it's not been 100% confirmed or FAQ'd either way. I think most just treat it as Warlord Creed can either forgo his trait for a Tank Ace or he must take STT. I've never had any issues running Warlord Creed for the two CP's but dropping STT for a Tank Ace but it's down to your opponents/tournament organisers.

You cant combine conscript squads. Its only infantry squads that are viable. Also. take cover was FAQ'ed to not work on invuln saves like... 2 years ago.

Wyrdvane pyskers do not get a cast per model, they get one per unit. As the squad of three is a single unit, that means one cast.

I am aware of that. However with psykic conclave they - as a unit - have two cast and two deny and both +2 that still does not make them great but makes them an Option to, play

Sororitas dumpster marines as a whole, including GK and TS which they pretty much hard counter. I don't think I've ever lost to a marine player with my Sororitas - not me being a good player, just that every Sororitas unit either punish marine statlines really well or trade efficiently into them. t. plays Sororitas and GK

@@BombadSchnell I don't believe you unless you're running tones of special/heavy weapons and getting some really good results with Repentia, because Space Marines absolutely eat throw Sororitas and I wonder how can a Marine player ever lose with the sheer insanity that is their arsenal.

@@loltwest9423 Why wouldn't you run tons of special and heavy weapons? Sisters get them cheaply across all their squads. Argent Shroud 4xSB Dominions and 4xMM Rets hiding in a Rhino will reach into marines' deployment zone and badtouch anything you want to kill without them able to respond. MM Rets are still cheaper than Eradicators, pump out more shots, and have miracle dice support. Ebon Chalice 4xHF Seraphim can dish out mortals at will on an 85pt, 12" fly unit. BR Repentia, Sacresancts, Zephyrim are all incredibly cheap and can be thrown away, or be thrown into things and expected to massacre whatever they go into. Imagine - 10x LC/SS Vanvets are *more* expensive than 20 Repentia. Marines need Rites of War to contest points with obsec efficiently with their power units - we get it on a 65 pt character who also functions as our Chaplain. The only thing that is somewhat bad in the codex are the vehicles, but the Castigator and the Exorcist are still better options than the Gladiator and Predator. What even in Codex: Space Mehrines is giving you trouble? If you're going into GK and TS you just take the 5+ deny sacred rite, and spam the use of Suffer Not the Witch and Purity of Faith. Laugh as you negate the reason why they play the faction, then snipe Magnus with your massed MM Retributors.

Any regiment can use the FW Earthshaker. It's terrible.

I think you are correct since it states on page 140 in the codex that "If a named character with the specific regiment keyword is your Warlord, they must be given the associated Warlord Traits." I don't think there are any FAQs on this matter. If there were, they would probably be removing this rules interaction rather than cementing it. I would nevertheless love for it to be legal. It would almost be an auto-include in any Cadian list.

@@killhitler yeah I would run Creed everytime with that in the current rules if I could also have 2 tank aces but one usually only have taken 1 so far in my lower point games

I like my heavy weapons especially the mortars, under cover, out of sight, and dropping destruction from the sky, as to the others try to position them where they don't have to move, most have about 48 inch range which can dominate a fare bit of the board, I like my sentinels as well, aside from being great models they are relitivly cheap firepower, what more could you want.
