The one piece live Action Netflix show's official trailer is out!! And it might potentially be the show that breaks the anime live action curse.... And its budget is 18 million per episode. Original mangaka is involed in the production for a faithful adaptation. And they are trying to make it as a standalone product independent of the original anime similar to the Harry Potter or Walking dead etc... By making necessary changes to suit yhe medium but at the same time being faithful to yhe original. One piece is a story everyone needs to watch... For its high quality characters, plot, world building, long form storytelling, thenes, sense of adventure, and many more. One piece is one of the greatest stories set in an epic fantastical lived-in breathing world having one of the if not THE best Worldbuilding. Even though it broke all the records and became highest selling manga ever, 2nd highest selling comic ever, only after Superman, 9th highest selling work of fiction by a single author of all time in the history (crossing harry Potter)... And the story is so good that it's going strong still after 26 years of it's incipience... But still its highly underrated and not even as popular as Dragonball.. inspite of its high quality storytelling. That's why this live action is necessary to reach out and introduce one piece to the general audience who don't watch anime/read manga or people who don't have time to commit to 1000 chapters or some other reasons. The Netflix season 1 will be the first saga of one piece i.e., 60 episodes or 100 chapters of one piece, which is kind of a prologue to the grand epic story it sets up. The official trailer as well as a teaser trailer are out. There are so many Indian anime fans looking forward to it. Please check em out!

I was blown away by this movie when i watched in theatres. wonderfully written.. Rick putting it on "Best RomCom Ever" category is a huge huge thing. This is coming from someone who might have possibly watched tons of hollywood rom-coms. Mithran and Team should be really proud.

Hi Guys, I am glad to see that you both enjoyed this movie. An excellent review. For your note: Bharathiraja (The Grandpa in this movie) is a veteran Legendary Director, Producer of Tamil Cinema. The movies he has taken during his career are top class. He introduced many many heroes and heroines to Tamil Cinema. Similar to him there was another Director / Producer. That's K.Balachandar. The guru of Super Star Rajnikanth & Kamal Hassan. He introduced these 2 great legends to Tamil Cinema. Even Prakashraj (The father of Danush in this movie), he was introduced by K.Balachandar. These 2 people (Bharathiraja & Balachandar) are the two iconic Directors of Tamil Cinema who has given many many hit films between 60's - 90's of Tamil Cinema.

Tamil industry is the only Indian cinema industry I think has the perfect balance among the different genres of cinemas, we have super masala high budgeted films with big stars, rom coms like these (even thought it reduced now), serious raw films (example - all veterinarian, Bala movies) comedies, etc etc etc.

Here are 2 Indian romcoms that I absolutely love and that you guys should watch: *Bommarillu* a 2006 Telugu movie considered a contemporary classic. It's also a coming of age story for the male character, whise dad is played by Prakash Raj, the dad in Thiruchitrambalam. *Fidaa* a 2017 Telugu hit with Sai Pallavi and Varun Tej (Ram Charan's cousin). The song Vachinde is one of the most viewed Telugu songs on YT.

Highly suggest you watch Ala Modalaindi, Fidaa, Anand, Bommarillu, Nuvvuostanante Nennodantana, Chi La Sow, Ante Sundaraniki, and Pelli Choopulu. I'd love to see Rick watch some of these amazing romcoms, especially because they've barely explored Telugu cinema.

If you like the performance of Nithya Meno in this movie. You should definitely checkout Theeni 2021 (Tamil)/Ninnilaa Ninnilaa 2021 (Telugu).. That is my favourite movie of Nithya Menon and it's kind of like a Rom-com movie.... Her acting was phenomenal in that movie.

I'm surprised you didn't recognize Raashi Khanna (the first girl he had a crush on), she was the main girl in Farzi earlier this year! Also an actress I quite like and I'm glad she's finally getting good roles.
