I just received this unit yesterday from Amazon and your video was helpful. Two things are different in what I received: 1) I got the NP-F970 battery is quite large and heavy, and 2) I only received the HDMI to micro cable. My Canon camera requires the HDMI to mini cable so I had to order one from Amazon.

I think that the monitor is very quiet. I have not heard an fan noise at all, so I think that it may be fanless. I have not used it in a hot environment yet so I cannot talk about over heating.

Thanks for the video, I just got this monitor. Question, what’s the little angled doodad (1 or 2 inches long and 1/2 in wide) with one small hole and one mount hole that came with the mounting bracket? I am brand new to these external monitors and scratching my head on what that is. Thx.

Sure! That’s just an optional way to mount the monitor. Maybe on the camera or cage. It all depends on your setup.

I don't think it shoots video so a monitor will not help in that case.

I didn't see any claims that it comes calibrated. I'm not sure how you could do that.

@@nextlevelcraig ok thanks for the response, I have the feel world Lut7 4k bright which is calibrated and says so on the manual, and its amazing, it literally gives me so much confidence while shooting as I dont have to rely solely on exposure values in the camera, since its calibrated I can literally see how the footage would look so I can be more creative with lighting when shooting its amazing, so thats why I was asking as someone was telling me that ud have to calibrate it every so often..my previous monitor was also feel world but was not calibrated therefore I would find my footage always looked very different when I imported it onto my computer so going forward if a monitor isn't calibrated its kind of hard to gauge what your footage will look like overall

Does the monitor disconnect for a couple seconds when you switch to see your gallery in camera? Is this just an all camera monitor thing? If you have fixed this issue, can you please share.

I have a LUT5 from Feelworld. The fan noise is very bad on that monitor. How is it on the F5 Pro X? Does it even have a fan at all? Thanks in advance for any info you can provide. By the way, the image looks great on your channel. Congrats!

@@n25992 yes, I have the LUT5. It’s very loud and it gets super hot. I’m not very happy with it to be honest. I might pick up the F5 pro X now that Nitze has a cage for it.

I bought this monitor and there is a buzzing sound coming from the back when it is turned on. Is this normal? Should i ask for a replacement?

I would at least contact their support. But yes that sounds like a problem. I have two of these now and I haven't heard any buzzing.
