This 2013 Mercedes-Benz GLK350 is Sharp Looking, Fun To Drive, and I like it Better Than I Thought

4 жыл бұрынSOLD I generally don't care for SUVs, and like compact SUVs even less, but I find myself liking the X204 GLK-Class from Mercedes-Benz. It's styled a bit after the original Galandewagon military vehicle, and the sharp lines and angular design looks better than a lot of the rounded shapes out there - in a market where so many vehicles look alike, the GLK of this vintage really stood out.
Additionally, the driving dynamics are good, with a pleasant seating position, excellent visibility, and terrific road feel. The 302HP engine feels like more than this crossover needs, which merits zero complaints from me.
All in all, I really like this thing, even against my will somewhat. Despite being the type of vehicle I tend not to notice or care for, I really enjoyed driving and reviewing this car.

Stopping the production of this car was MB’s big mistake. It looks better than GLC’s.

The mistake was replacing glk with glc or glb instead of using the interior for the glk

glc is just like a lifted c wagon …doesnt have special styling like glk s

I currently own and drive a 2010 GLK350 4matic with every available option with 474,388 miles on it the engine has never been open. I do all my maintenance myself. I love this suv have have no desire to ever let it go. So much so I have a spare motor for it sitting in my garage with a few other extra parts.

How does the direct injection engine hold up? Any issues with carbon deposits on the valves?

So far so good on my 2013 C250 Coupe. It's got 96k on it and I use Amsoil 100% Synthetic Oil and their Deep Clean Fuel Treatment once a year and still running good.

Being that I’m pretty much useless to society, approaching 40 years old and without any truly solid job prospects, I’ll never own one of these. With that, it’s definitely one of my favorite small Mercedes. Nice review as always. Cheers.

I love my 2013 GLK 350. I have yet to find a phone mount that will work with this tiny cabin. I almost had it with one for the circular vents but the hooks weren't long enough and it fell a day later. Any insights for this specific vehicle? Yes, this vehicle was love at first sight for me after looking for a year.

The non direct injection because it causes carbon buildup. That clogs the engine and it actually reduces the performance/reliability. The earlier GLKs does not have this issue :)

Just watched a 6 minute video of this being driven off road through the Swiss Alps 😂😂 Pretty sure you can take it off roading, it’s what it’s made for, I guess only if you’re European 😉

How in the world do I get the bluetooth setup correctly in my 2009 E350 Benz to play music from my phone. I can already answer and make calls with the bluetooth setup though. I just can't figure out how to play the music from my phone in the car. Someone please help 😥

I still dont understand why you like this SUV other than the fact that its a "gadgetty" SUV. Its not fast, its not quirky, its not manual, its not ridiculous in any way, its just another wannabe Land Rover! I'd much rather an old school Lexus LX470 but of course that isnt manual either. the cooler 4x4 vehicles are mid-sized trucks with big blocks... or firetrucks. But that's just my action-packed GenZ opinion maybe someone your generation needs something more comfortable XD

rvidal0001 an LX470 is certainly not more expensive that this car... its basically the more reliable land rover. 300hp isnt that much for an SUV tbh although yeah I'd consider that just fine for most people. Idk I just need something with more torque you know?

Sorry but Germanic Phallic Design is far from beautiful nor sexy . Nine x 3... Germanic style is in my British eyes = Sad Dull or boring including Blooooody expensive. Take another look at Shaguar's for Beauty and value for Ya £. Are you crazy. BMW = Above all it's a ROVER +++ +++
