I genuinely consider myself very lucky to own this car and really agree with what's said here. First - don't by new, get a used one with a full service history. Second, it's a genuine dream to drive - you can cruise or put it in Race and bang through the gears with your kids in the back laughing their @$$£$ off while taking most anything (though not all since it is a GT). Third, it is a lovely place to spend time - which is important since you're either loving the drive or stuck in traffic. I went with this because I needed 4 real seats (which they are) and 2 doors (4 being 2 too many) and felt it was a nicer place to be than an M8 (which I think is a great car too). And don't forget the pillarless design, it really makes a difference.

the s class coupes are just so beautiful. Theyre one of the few cars that still give me that old time big body coupe look.

For me this is an understated masterpiece of a vehicle. Your depreciation statement is true for the S Series 4 door but the 2 door coupe holds its value pretty good. This is a vehicle I have been wanting for quite a while especially since this upgraded model came out. What upsets me about Mercedes is that they do not make this model anymore (S series AMG Coupe). I think the 20 or 21 model was the last year. Have no idea why they would make such a decision. Yea they just brought out the SL but IMO I'd still prefer the 2 door coupe. I really hope they bring it back soon. Nice review sir.

absolutely gorgeous daily cruiser

I started out getting kicked out of HS. Went into USMC volunteered and was selected to join a high op tempo unit. Learned how to be exceptional and always drive forward. Went to war- Got out after getting hammered (should see other guy) and fast forward to now where I am a senior tech exec. I have the GT63s with the entire Brabus 700 package and a AMG GTR and a G wagon 4 square. I get to do these things because I drive forward. If I can anyone can. Anyhow, the GT63s with the Brabus 700 package is almost too much to take in. 2 yrs later it is still amazing and it is still shockingly fast. On the track it isn’t as nimble as my much lighter AMG GTR. and he is right about the stereo it sounds like you are at a concert.

Money can by happiness, pay money for status, get a short term "feel good" buzz. People don't realise happiness is just fleeting, short state and not a permanent state. Gratification and fulfillment from doing something worthwhile in life that requires discipline and perseverance this what gives a man something much more rewarding. Happiness is just a by product of something more authentic. Forget "happiness" seek fulfillment my friend.

I got the 2012 E550 AMG and it has a majority of the same options besides the new info system for 1/20 the price basically w a twin turbo v8 instead. I much rather what I have to this for that price.

You said it had 600+ horsepower when I thought it had 503 hp? Unless the car your driving has a tune and they’re not $200k brand new either so those numbers threw me off a bit. But overall great video 👍🏻

You're right this is one of the best cars, but I think the Coupe looks so feminine compared to the S63 long wheelbase sedan. If you want everything in one car, you have to get the sedan, it's longer, has more space and presence and you can use it for more, even on a daily basis.
