The fans see the AR because, if you notice, everyone is watching through their phone. So they are most likely viewing through a synced app and see the AR elements that would be visible for the stream through their phones. Much like when they had the Elder Dragon in China, they had goggles or limited VR headsets for the crowd from what I remember.

The joint entry of the 2 teams has been done because in Korea they have not been supporting the Chinese much, when the 2 teams enter at the same time the fans applaud regardless of who they are addressing, very kind of Riot to do this

L crowd tbh I get being supportive of your countrymen and such but it's not hard to give your opponents some respect too. Chinese crowds are the same in this regard, the Asian crowds tend to have library tendencies towards opposing teams.

that was embarrassing from riot - faker makes it back to worlds to take his 4th title, does it in KOREA and fans aren't given the chance to celebrate him properly during player introductions? Keria, Guma... these players fought super hard to make it back to the finals and were lumped together with other players...this was less hype than semis introductions..let them boo if they want, let them be a library if they want - that's worlds in Korea.. home crowd advantage

The cgi ai animation part is only for the screen!! the audience only seeing the artists perform on the stage! also riot has some kind of app so if you have that app the audience can see the cgi through their phone!

I didn't like hate this year's ceremony but like, is it not a downgrade from like 2019 Holo-net with the True dmg characters and stuff??? Like how did we go from that to this. I really would be less mad about this one if the random dude flipping around with a Leona shield wasn't there. I would've rather just seen the artists. Audio mix was also dog shit the whole time. Should've just let New Jeans company run sound, K-Pop companies do it right if you're going to have a backtrack.

I don't know if he discussed this on stream later, but I think there is such a thing as too much noise cancellation. Glad we can record these stage games with so much noise to capture voices with so much clarity, but don't tune the audience down this much. You are leaving so much needed hype on the table.

Like what Doublelift pointed out, the audio was definitely not it for the livestream and it looked more hype on stage. Even Caedrel said something around those lines as well. He was looking back instead of the live feed that riot gave him and he did say it's so loud on live compared to what we heard on the livestream.

My 3 complaints with the opening ceremony: 1. The audience. There was no hype or energy. Ik koreans are more reserved. I’m Korean myself, but the audience being so quiet ruined it 2. I thought the mordekaiser and Leona sun explosion thing were cool, but the heartsteel cgi was so ass that I just couldn’t focus on anything else 3. As a kpop fan, the new jeans performance was so disappointing, not because the girls did poorly, but because the production was so shit imo.

Just don’t do any new ceremony. Just do old classic better. The new stuff is all bad. The animation band looks so bad . The „grind“ process where the dude goes through the portal was also bad . And the one homeless drugaddict and the rapper with so shitty Autotune were like the worst. ( I’m not a fan of autotune but at least autotune should make the voice and lyrics cleaner or help a little bit out ) this was just bad. The Kpop band just wasn’t for me. For me this year was even worse then last year. Only thing that makes this viable is Fakers Quotes in the teaser.
