I agree with the CPU swap but if you are MAXED OUT on budget I wouldn't worry about 16gb of RAM. I run 8gb of DDR3 still and none of my games hit 100% RAM utilization, yet. I expect to be at 100% use in another 2 years though.

The 1400 is good and all, but I think it would be better to up the price slightly and go with a ryzen 5 1600 AF for $85. since it is zen+ based Its basically a lower clocked 2600 for only $85 which is hardly any more money then what the used 1400 goes for, and the 1600 AF is new.

Great video. It's nice to see you can build a system this inexpensive that delivers that performance. I doubt my current system which cost twice as much 4 years ago would come close on those games. Realistically, with 16 gigs of ram and a 1600, this would probably be enough computer to be a good solid upgrade for me if I had to go the budget route (which for a change I don't).

I would also be recommending that people optimize Windows 10 using msconfig and task manager to stop all needless boot options and change the core count and app failure time out to 3 seconds. Windows will only run as many cores as needed. msconfig allows all cores to be used from the beginning of boot and the 3 second time out usually will prevent OS crashing. Windows will only usually run one 1 core at a time in stand by modes. if you pick the highest number you have the least amount of delay in getting processing done. It is like a check out line 1 person handling 100 people is super slow. 4 or 8 people handling the same 100 people get checked out a lot faster and there is less delay times in completion. I don't know why this isn't done in gaming videos. it prevents bottle necking and the system isn't taxed when trying to play extreme video content that normally has to be buffered first.

that's why PC GAMING is the way to go, every one is welcome to enter in , from a broke gamer to the wealthiest, every one can enjoy a good PC experience , flexibility , upgradability , you own what's it's yours , you are not owned by a PC wanna be (a console they say) that can't be upgraded or modded or personalized for the next 7 or 8 years......i'm not against consoles , no, i already have a PS4 to play Sony's exclusives games(and they are awesome ) , but , and for almost 20 years , i was and always will be a PC player , i always like to learn about technology in the Gpu side and Cpu , new software and hardware , always looking for the best parts for my next built , yeah , i looooove built my own pc's , for the moment i have two Rigs , one for gaming with new titles and beyond( a Ryzen 5 3600x cpu with an Rtx 2060 super Gpu) , and the second pc is more for a 1080p@60 Fps experience with a Pascal Gpu (the OG's Gtx 1060 6Go Oc) with an Intel I5 4 cores 4 threads , so PC's play a big role in my adult life as a gamer, and wish to every one to have the same

Sure, improving case airflow helps, but I'm so annoyed of those stickers on screws... You can't even change thermal paste, but if something goes wrong, warranty will help with an expensive card.

I just picked up a hella used deal, R5 1400, MSI Bazooka B350, CyberPower case, 1tb hd, Logitech large mouse pad and a HyperX headset all for $100! The guy has been trying to sell the set up for a while and people kept bailing on him. I know I got hella lucky. I did however have to come up with ram. I got this system to upgrade my son's system and I was able to use his current psu that is a 500w gold and his current drives and gpu(evga 960 4gb) I have found a few RX580 8gbs for $100 lately and I won't pay more than that for one of those used and I wouldn't pay more than $50 for any 4gb gpu! But alot of this is dependent on your local markets. Even the 1060s are going for $100 locally for the 6gb models, at those prices there is no reason to touch a 4gb gpu for more than $50! The system I got was clearly a prebuild Cyberpower that the guy i got it from upgraded from and that's why i got the deal. Sure to get deals like I got you got to hold tight to your price range and wait for the right deals and really depends on your local market. I refuse to use ebay or anything like that no matter how good the returns are I would rather inspect and get in person locally than ever use ebay for anything! My local market has some good deals because few people seem to buy locally so it's a buyers market but some stuff is well over priced.

You might have been better off with a ryzen 5 3400g or ryzen 3 3200g and used the cpu internal GPU instead of the GPU card. BestBuy currently has the EVGA 600W PS on sale for $45. I bought one in store, and had it shipped to my house (store had zero stock). I'm going to build a Ryzen 5 3600 system soon. Planning on using MSI 450B Pro-vhd-max MB, and will get 32GB of ram (prices for 2600mhz-CL16 are about $150). Also 1TB M.2 SSD ($100-$130). I have a used R7-250 AMD video card. I will repurpose an old Lenovo/IBM think tower micro-ATX case for this build. It's just the right size, PS goes on top, but I can live with that. Will have two case fans (f&b). BTW, SCSI SSD's can be mounted to the case inside on any flat surface with Velcro tape strips.

You can't play shit on a core 2 duo. Don't dare call it a fucking gaming PC.. that's an office PC. I used to own one and the core 2 duo even bottlenecks a GTX 750 NON TI..

So far i like the build it has upgrade posibilty and good performance . I only would spend som extra on buying heatsinks for the VRM and maybe the MOSFETs from aliexpress they sell cheap heatsinks you can fit to those parts and they even come in black so you don't mess up you aesthetics.

Im thinking about building a duplicate of this build but a used ryzen 5 is hard to come by. Would a ryzen 3 1200 overclocked do the job, and if so how much worse would it be compared to the ryzen 5 1400?

My $300 Facebook Marketplace build (goal was to build a good 1080p gamer at $300 or less from FB alone... Massively exceeded my expectations, tbh): Case: Cooler Master HAF 932 - $50 (Huge savings here) PSU: Rosewill ARC 450w 80+ Bronze - $25 (Good enough) Mobo: Asus Prime A320M - $50 (bought together with CPU) CPU: Ryzen 3 2200G - $50 (ordered a Ryzen 5 2600 off eBay today and gonna resell the 2200g, probably for a profit) RAM: 8GB Corsair Vengence LPX 2800MHz - $30 (ordered a second matching stick off eBay today) GPU: ASRock Phantom Gaming D RX 570 4GB - $70 (Huge savings here) Storage: 500GB PNY SSD + 1TB WD HDD $65 (bought together) Total: $300 Total after CPU and RAM upgrade: $460 (Probably sell the CPU for ~$70, though, so brings the cost to more like $390 This only took me 2 days to complete and altogether I dealt with 6 different sellers... I enjoyed it... Kinda don't like the case, though, but it's normally almost 3 times the price I paid, so I couldn't pass it up...

@cire420siuol

@@Josiah.435 I gotta disagree, especially for the price I paid... HDD was brand new and SSD only had 30 hours on it... Couldn't really beat that for $65... Also, I like to have some games on my SSD, especially now... When I commented this, basically just had Windows and GTA5 (to make it load faster and less texture pop-in) on it, but have you tried playing Cyberpunk off of an HDD? Especially on a lower-end build like this? Horrible experience...
