Atlas Survival Shelters

Күн бұрын

Atlas Survival Shelters installs an underground bunker that will be used as a Pew Pew vault and doomsday bunker on a Texas ranch. A barn will be built over the bunker after we leave. Great editing and music in this complete installation from fabrication to covering with dirt. The size of this vault is 10X20. The same size as seen on that episode of OFF THE RANCH except this bunker has so much more and was built much heavier using I-beams. This bunker cost $70,000, and includes tons of storage in the walls for food and ammunition, an NBC air filtration system, gas-tight doors, a mud room, bullet-proof hatch, a shooting port-hole, polyurethane floors, LED lights, and bigger stairs. THANKS FOR WATCHING! PLEASE SUBSCRIBE!

A lot of attention to detail while keeping it simple. Everything seems to be thought about, everything well built, and I was surprised by the cost of it. Also, I tried to think about the “what if’s” when building or planning anything, and you had a solution for my “what ifs”. A job well done sir 👍

What about duct tape over the intake 4 people inside a day or 2 before they pass out/die? Not knocking your intake nothing is full proof I just like to think outside the box. I'm sure a intake really far away from the hatch would be better as they wouldn't associate it with the bunker especially if you disguise it like a lamp post or something with vents underneath the light or build it inside the walls of the home and make it look like a roof vent.

I enjoy your videos. And you do seem to produce a superior product than the other guy. But, those fasteners will not be there 150 to 200 years from now due to galvanic corrosion. Even encased in concrete, they will corrode. As well will the bolt holes on the bunker. The corrosion will spread until it eats holes through the walls. You should use a polymer type washer and bushings to break the conductivity between the metals as well as installing a few zinc anodes inside. Just some constructive criticism.

Well if someone wants to lock you up inside all they need to do is park a truck on top of that hatch and stuff some cloth or paper on those air pipes. Extra precaution would be to build a grate box around the air pipes or disguise them somehow. Also you should have a tunnel with a secondary side exit trough a small emergency hatch several feet away. and a secondary air intake. Wouldn't probably be a bad idea to build some sort of concrete pill box on top with access from the interior so you could protect the entrance.

exactly! -ducttape the vents -drill the hatch fill it with sand/concrete/water/whatever -drill the vents fill it with sand/concrete/whatever -weld the hatches shut or just put a big rock on it. you can go on forever about ways to kill the occupants and then later return to ''pick the loot'' the only way a bunker works is if no one knows and no one can see where it is. no visibile hatch no visible vents escape hatches are nice and all that but when a malicious group is waiting for you to come out they pick you off one by one climbing out. you can never talk about it to anyone not your husband/ wife not your children not any family or friends because someone always spills the beans, and remembers that you have that. id much prefer an above ground bunker concealed as a home with escape hatches in the woods or somewhere else hidden. and vents hidden as chimneys or in hollowed out trees or whatever else one can think off.. its good for a pew pew vault, great for a tornado shelter etc but for a shtf?? go to a desert or mountain range.

They sell this garbage to suckers 100%. Nothing they make would keep you safe. That's why I call these glorified storm shelters lmao. I watch this trash when I'm bored for laughs. Especially when they refer things to like nuclear blast doors etc 🤣. It's hilarious.

Do you need a coating specialist for that bunker. I got 34 years applying and sealing steel boxes for several different manufacturers. I got a great job reference and a Iowa work ethic. I hope to hear from ya soon if you want one of the best. I have every aspect of the process as soon as the weld inspection. Complete with the prep for paint through the loading for shipment. 25 years with overhead crane operation and safety company trainer for the last 3 employers.

I like the new format. But could do with silence or really low volume music. The same music over and over gets monotonous. Plus most KZfaq creators use the same or similar music tracks make it even more monotonous. Otherwise great video.

@@jmbman I wouldn't go so far as to say that the Democrats are stupid. I'm sure they think Republicans are stupid for ignoring climate change, and they may very well be correct. It isn't our place to say which side is right, only to contrast the ways in which they are different. One may very well make the case that because Democrats live in cities they couldn't buy a bunker if they wanted to.

So to get people out, you seal off the air vents until they eventually need air, you could also put a CO2 gas can under the swan neck to speed things up a bit. If you want them out quicker, put butane down there and light it... they will pop right out of the ground. If you want to lock people in, put a weight on top of the door, if it was a doomsday event and the building fell on the hatch your in your expensive grave..... And all that effort of welding the hatch to the stairs and doing it after you have back filled it, means all that 150yr tar paint is burnt off on the outside. If you put a seal gasket between the stairs and bunker it would have sealed just as well with no damage to the paint work. There are steam boilers that are hundreds of years old with gasket seals and have never leaked. Also there is no such thing as 150yr tar paint, if there was, every bridge on the planet would be painted in it. This is a bunker made by over weight kids that were bullied at school for kids that were bullied at school who are terrified of their own shadow. And you can tell the quality of those labourers, the guys who loves the sound of his own voice barking orders has to mansplain how to drill holes, and constantly goes on about his hinges. Never once any thought on air purifiers, drinking water filters, drainage, toilets or anything else you would need in a "doomsday" shelter. But most of all, I love how the labourers hate this man, as he is barking orders, not one replies, they all ignore him but he carries on oblivious to it loving that he has made a metal box. There seems to be more interest on stats like how thick the metal is or how the condensation drains out of the pipe which can be bradded about at a party, than the most basics of a bunkers needs like water and filtered air.

As a backup I would at least attach some zinc ingots somewhere to stave off the iron from rusting. And yes, the micromanaging would have me walking off the job in about 5 minutes. And that puck style master lock looks formidable but can be picked in 6 seconds, and is a pretty good indicator that someone is inside. I just watched someone pick 10 of those locks in one minute. Oh, and he says he tries keeping the installation stealthy but pulls up in a vinyl-wrapped truck that says "ATLAS SURVIVAL SHELTERS" in big colorful letters. More power to him, but there seem to be a lot of glaring flaws. I would dig a big hole, set some 12-foot high/wide prefab box culverts in there. Blast-proof doors, and have a truck parked in it, with a paramotor in the bed of the truck.

I gave you a thumbs up, as I usually do. Exactly why did Matt (Demolition/Off the Ranch) unwind the deal with you? My understanding is that you were going to build and give him a shelter at no cost to him. I speculate probably in exchange for promotion of Atlas Shelters in future Off theRanch videos. Why on earth would anyone turn that down? Unless there were certain contractual stipulations that he felt might have put him in some type of legal or personal jeopardy. From my viewpoint the reality is this...you build and install a superior shelter. So why reluctance to do business with you? Thanks!
