@@MavyMavsince Nighthawk’s perk isn’t in the pool for exotic class items, none. If you really wanna use this build with an exotic class item, best combo I can think of would be Galanor/Star Eater to get your super back faster and make it stronger.

You just described it to me, whenever I want to play with my warlock again, something super cool appears for the hunter

After watching esoterrick im going to warlock the hunter is cool but its pretty boring right now all the builds are just melee strand grappling and the new arc class just isn’t cool in the slightest you’re just throwing a dagger. Meanwhile warlocks are melting entire room. So I think I’ll give that a try.

⁠@@coreyth13Buddy you can’t call hunters all melee builds boring when warlocks builds are just grenade spam. It’s the same thing with a different ability. Besides, there’s plenty other good builds out there but melee is just the hotness right now.

Kinetic surge fix?

@johnnyangnatuk6731 So for a while, golden gun was kind of broken due to how its damage was classified in the game code. It was classified as kinetic damage. Therefore, it benefitted from kinetic surge mods. Slap nighthawk on top of that, and you'd easily break 1million damage on some bosses and enemies. That was recently fixed, so now it doesn't benefit from surge mods

Celestial has been one of my favorite exotics since the old solar burn modifier back in the day. We would farm the omnigul strike with 3 celestial nighthawks and use our supers on her and finish her off before the final encounter lol

About a year ago, Celestial nighthawk helped me to solo flawless the spire of the watcher dungeon. Love it for High DPS rotation.

@@davidhaydon4720for me personally I think physics and a flex slot is ideal. Maybe something like physics and incandescent or some other damage perk. The main reason you want physics is because it’ll give you restoration as well whenever you heal allies. If you’re running this on pure solar, you can use the infinite resto/radiant setup and be able to easily spread it to teammates without a healing grenade.

Not to mention, once it's crafted and you enhance physic, you receive restoration x2 along with your teammate. So proccing restoration x2 AND a stacking 10% damage buff, plus incandescent for great ad clear, is insane. Also, while support frames are 600 rpm, they do slightly more damage at base than regular 600 rpm autos like the Summoner, I guess because it's projectile. Just an insane gun

The fragment requires a darkness debuff to grant the 10% increased damage on golden gun. And although you'd be trading that for a 15% weakness (so you'd be net positive on damage if I'm understanding correctly), you'd lose out on the general utility of threaded spike synergizing with the other parts of the build like the reduced super cool down on powered melee kills or granting radiant to your teammates on powered melee kills since your smoke bomb won't really kill anything. So I guess you can't really go wrong with smoke bomb technically, but you would have to change out some of your armor mods and fragments to better synergize with the change.

@@orangejuice1418 Fair point about the super regen mods and giving allies radiant. I was mostly wondering if the Weaken Stacked with the damage buff to enemies affected by darkness debuffs (which we get from Duskfield grenade), so instead of just having the fragment play for us, we get both that and weaken together.

I mean, good luck jumping out there to punch the witness without falling to your death lol. Combination blow is insanely good, but not for all content in the game. Destiny is a looter shooter, not a looter puncher lol.

yes, you can also pair it with facet of ruin for more shatter damage to squeeze out a little more damage if you dont mind editing the fragments a little. personally ive been using the shurikens for dungeons/raids and the spike in general content

I tried threaded spectre because I love strand but it feels weak on harder content. I did a balance of power/ combination blow build to constantly create decoys but it was getting one shot by the enemies. Balance of power suppose to increase its durability but, for whatever reason, it got destroyed instantly. I was excited to try out this exotic but it felt a bit of a letdown. But on normal content it’s so much fun seeing extra threadlings everywhere lol.

I use The Call sidearm with lead from gold/hatchling for primary and Pro Memoria for heavy. Both are strand and both have dealers choice for more super energy. Throw on that strand siphon mod for orbs. Great synergy!

Probably with setup it's too slow, the only thing i can think that is able to keep up with this is cascade+bait , but this also needs at leat a void surge
