okay in their defence, EM mainstat gilded dreams and deepwood memories artifacts don't exist. that gilded sands they got on their alhaitham? that's the best they're gonna get, it's a miracle they even have one. I speak from experience.

When i heard he spent all his fragiles on artifacts and then strong box, I related so bad. I am a big hoarder of fragile resin (for literally no reason) but my biggest fear is to spend like 50 of them and get absolutely nothing out of it. It does sound like this guy definitely had way to high of standards for artifacts, or at least didn't know what stats to look for.

2:24 *_note on teambuilding for those who care:_* normally i recommend a hyperblooming electro support (kuki/dori or even fischl/yae) as an electro slot with haitham+ hydro, over beidou as she doesn't hyperbloom, or 2 electros and quicken spam without hydro, but since this account doesn't have like any of those characters, i figured XQ's damage will make up for any lost reactions esp with a second dendro character, so generally: beidou would be replaced w/ kuki or even fischl (or used as a 2nd electro). for most players, but given this account's lack of characters i opted to recommend a taser/salad team with al haitham, until he gets fischl/kuki/yae/etc or bennett (for ›l team). also this was recorded last abyss = less healing is OK (depends on abyss). & he had informed me that he wanted to play al haitham + tighnari over a sucrose team (which could've been really good too).:D

Artifact system is such a nasty newbie trap and strongbox made it even worse. Now if you don't already know what's a piece worth keeping, you'll be doing massive damage to your account. And newer units requiring more EM made it even harder to understand.

I honestly think most KZfaqrs hold artifacts too highly and it makes people spend resin poorly on srtifacts - your artifacts don't have to be God pieces, most of them being mid are perfectly fine and can still definitely 36 star the abyss. I'm glad you mentioned just going for mainstats

Something about bad luck in this video reminded me of something that happened to me: it took me 9 months from when I started to get a 5-star circlet of any set with EM mainstat, and that's while keeping my resin from getting full, just constantly switching between farming bosses (both normal bosses and weekly) and artifacts, I had pretty good artifacts on most of my used characters, I just somehow never got a 5-star EM circlet, which was fairly painful as I was using both Sucrose and Kazuha.

As an ar 52 with no Bennett i felt that "oh no" at the start.

I love this so much. A true and relatable account situation. I think oldbie and "rich streamers" should stop the assumption that everyone has bennett or good weapon. Of course bennett OR in abyss record is 98~99% but the record only records success 36 star run, which means it never show the truth. Weapons is also pure RNG too. Of course, AR 54 with bad build is "skill issue" but the truth is still there: not every F2P or low spender has an insane "3.7 abyss is hard but my absolutely F2P 4 star team dominate it" tittle, for most part, they are just casual players who loves to use favorite characters. My best advice is to work on favorite character one by one, aim for 33 stars because 36 star is not a "challenge", it's a lottery: you can only 36 star if you invest 1-2 years of farming, your favorite character must be strong and in the meta, and the abyss formation must allow you to use the team comp you've prepared. And for 50 primo, that's not enough to cover the cost of insanity.

I can definitely confirm having high standards makes you throw away a LOT of mid pieces that you actually need. That and not being told artifacts can't double up on the stats (as in, a crit rate piece can't roll into crit rate for the subs). I threw away so many sands in particular that were actually fine because of this, and the shock I had finding this out after almost a year of play actually made me have a breakdown lol

I'd love to see one of these 'bad account reviews' follow up later like a mini series. Could watch these for days.

Thank you for your advice regarding artifacts because I literally have a habit on spending 2-3 fragile resins for artifact domains and straight away strongboxing the mid ones although it has one or two good main stats and sub stats for a specific character. Now, I only have 14 fragile resins left but with like 30-ish five star artifacts although most of my resins were spent for artifacts. The worst part is that I'm not even a meta player so spiral abyss is not that important to me, I just like seeing a high crit ratio for no reason. I'm starting to pre-farm for raiden now so I'm glad I watch this video before repeating the same habit and end up having nothing for her 🫡 will start being wise in spending resins and maybe will rest from strongbox for a period of time.

I strongly believe the reason they stacks a ton of em into their characters is because they think the elemental mastery stat just means the higher em = character more powerful, simply because the character can master their element better. I made the same mistake too at my early game

This editing was amazing and very enjoyable although I think next time the editor should remove the sore thumb that, for the most part, resides in the bottom left of the screen. That would definitely make this video more enjoyable. Other than that, amazing work !!!

I am ar 58 and i never used strongbox. I use daily resin and farm more artefacts and use trash pieces to feed the new cracked artefact i got from domain run. I have 103 fragile resin btw.

BRUH I don't get why players don't incrementally upgrade their artifacts. When farming, as zyox said, get the main stats and slap them on the character. Start leveling them as well. Once you find better ones, you can either feed your previous ones into it or level them on their own if you're not sure they're gonna be better or you know you need more of them. Like... Literally most games, no matter casual or not, focus on resource management on some level so if you're a "gamer", then you've GOTTA be at least decent at spending resources efficiently!

i think i have 100 fragile resin because i deadass just use the daily resin to upgrade characters. i only use fragile on characters i adore and want to be good fast and even those i spend maybe 6 or 7 at max. last one was wanderer.

I wanted to use Beidou since i started playing. And i got her only about 4 months after. But she did not work with anything i had and wanted to pull. So she was lvl 20 for three more months until just now when i got Eula. Strong claimore women united. And i love Beidou so much, she is so cool! Eula with goddamn dragons striking electricity is another lvl of fun 🎉

Im ar 44. Been playing since 2020. Ill play for like a event and then get burnt out for like a month or two and then come back. Here's where I stand -No Idea how artifact stats go or which are good -At the 6th Spiral Abyss level -Since the start of me playing ive only ever tried going for weapon banner once -I always go for characters - I have no idea who to level up or what teams to build -I have two 5 star dendro characters but I have no idea how the element works at all Any advice is welcome. Even stuff that most people know, I probably dont know it.
