Yeah, we all have hindsight now about how terrible all those things were but they didn’t. I’d suspect maybe things like caffeine could be things we ban or try to severely limit due to its potential negative health risks for example and people in the future would be like “What??!?! They let people drink CUPS of this stuff?!!!?!”

@@krisbregar974 a quick google search will show you that they did infected use asbestos in the gas mask filters of ww1, even in other things such as helmets to help insulate.

Wow, what a trip down memory lane... anyone else remember when Stadia just literally reaped the soul of Steam and shuffled it off its metaphorical mortal coil? Dang. But really, we should have seen that coming ever since Stadia took down _Atari_ of all companies. Frickin' baller move right there, dealing death to a company whose name was relevant for part of the 1980s... and then the Dreamcast, too? Shiiit, Stadia was bound to conquer Steam at that point. Guaranteed, 100%. No surprise that it totally really happened!

In the tour de france in the 60s the riders would also raid shops, bars and restaurants for bottles of beer and wine which they would drink during the race, You can see photos of riders with 6+ beer bottles tucked into the waistband of their shorts., Famously one rider went off course to the top of a mountain simply because he wanted an Ice cream. The bars and restaurants would then bill the Tour de France for items stolen or broken. Which was the most expensive part of the tour de france.

The weirdest thing is that we had one of the we send the EU money money money coaches doing the school run at my school? So in the coach lane there's all the regular slightly older coaches just sitting around there was one of these brand new just sitting there. I guess not the other hires wanted this particular bus to do their usual routes?

we did increase the nhs' funding by over 350m a year, didn't fix shit because lack of funding wasn't the problem

Tbf everything had asbestos in it because it was pretty much the only good fireproof material that existed, until modern fireproof materials were made there was a period after asbestos was banned in most places that had a ton of building fires because the replacements for asbestos just weren’t as good
