In this episode Donal Dineen travels in the footsteps of the legendary ethnomusicologist and archivist Alan Lomax to a remote stretch of the Cork/Kerry border to meet with the granddaughters of the late Sean-Nós singer Elizabeth Cronin who's songs Lomax documented in the early 1950's.
Featuring live performances from John Francis Flynn, Rosie Carney, Caoimhín Ó Raghallaigh & Thomas Bartlett, Percolator, Natalya O'Flaherty and Myles Manley. {Buskers: Jordan and The Legs, Acid Granny.]

I was in Ireland many many years ago (30-ish) and visited Cork in the month October with an Irish friend to experience the beautiful going from pub to pub to listen to music. Just wondering, does that still exist?
