I love time loop and sci fi stories, isekai or not, like doctor who, summertime rendering, dark, ReZERO, Link Click, Midnight in Paris, ERASED, Not Tokyo Revengers, Higurashi, etc. From the Visual Novel, It follows the Story of Okabe Rintarou and his lab members, Daru and Shiina Mayuru. While it was very acceptable back then, the consequences of the permanent overstimulation of social media/media consumption over the last decade conditioned and rewired the brains of many. Causing more people to lose interest in slower pace since they're so used to the short action packed format that's more popular these days. The retention is not the same. The pace we are pushed to live our lives on is getting increasingly faster. It's definitely a lil nightmare

@@SonicAlly45 While first time watching these 12 episodes may seem meh, but honestly, they give you perspective and build up the characters in a way that after watching the entire show you start to see them in a different light. You won't be able to fully appreciate Stain;Gate without those first 12 episodes. It just won't hit the same way.

@@SonicAlly45 bruh those eps arent even bad, they just are a setup for something huge, those first few eps are some of my favourites, they allow you to explore the whole vibe of this anime, the setting, without any stress, this is the only anime where it feels like its actually more like a real life documentary of some youtuber videosm or some 4chan conspiracy, and its damn interesting

Steins;Gate is one of my absolute favorites and, call me biased, but I really like the first episodes. For me they encapsulate the other thing, which Steins;Gate does so well and makes it so great: Friendship. The feeling of a nice, cozy friendgroup in the city. Goofing around under the summerheat, while the cicada's sing. Not thinking about the future or their lifechoices and just having fun together. I love it. I love the laid back and a bit funky atmosphere of the Future Gadget Laboratory. I love Okabe's Chuunibyou (and really wanted to be like him as a teen XD). And I love, how he just makes people lab members, because in reality he just wants to have friends and connect to people, who also are lonely. And, of course, how all comes crushing down as the story progresses and things, that seemed like mere "fun", have detrimental consequences. Oh, and can we talk about how GREAT the soundtrack is?! T^T In short: Steins;Gate is my beloved summer-anime of friendship and time-travel. And Dr Pepper is delicous.

You always bring up my old favorites, I feel so glad being reminded of this masterpiece. I remember feeling choked watching this, when the sad parts came up. Thanks for letting me recall this core memory, this was probably why I have an obsession with tragedy stories. Every time i try to write something it ends up being somewhat of a tragedy

I whatched Steins;gate when i was 11, my life was a mess, I was sleeping on a piece of foam, I had no friends, my mom was at work all day, I was alone, this anime changed me in many ways, and its probable I would have ended everything if not for Okabe, his isolation what conforting in a fked up way, it made me not feel so alone, his company kinda saved me, not compleatly, still strugled with depresion for most of my life, but it came at one of thouse moments, when I needed it the most.

Bro you actually get it, I've been following you for some time now. I mainly watch your shorts about Chainsaw man and i agree with everything you say about it and how you analyse it. And now i just found out that you think steins gate is the goat of time travel anime, everything you said in this video was like you literally taking the words out of my mouth. there is an official continuation in the form of a story that is canon by all accounts. The film contradicts this sequel. Build a logical connection.

The introduction I got to Steins;Gates was literally determined by fate,by this world line.I was just listening to anime piano covers and somehow discovered Gate of Steiner and it really hit even though it was just piano.Then I found the song Gate of Steiner from Eri Sasaki herself and fell in love with the song even more.That consequently led me to watch the series and to this date it’s my favorite anime….

rewatched this masterpiece after almost 6 years Holy cow that was amazing , even more than I remember a plot written so well that it puts most modern shows to shame Art style is kind of dull in colors that gives it a mature vibe Only one of the few Anime I would rate at a solid 10 It's a must watch folks If you're into visuals novel then I recommend that, cuz it will cover this masterpiece in much more detail than the anime still, The Anime is a great and faithful adaptation El Psy Kongroo

My most favorite sci-fi anime EVER. Watched many times, played both visual novels and elite edition of the first that uses actual anime animation, not the still pictures like in the original novel. My 2 favorite voice actors Imai Asami and Hanazawa kana do insanely good job. I can't wait till the second part, "Steins;gate 0: elite" visual novel comes out. Going to be even more awesome than "Steins;gate 0"...

What cemented S;G anime into the pedestal was the amazing adaptation of its story from the VN. They were also able to play around with the different routes and endings due to the nature of the game having you experience them first before the conclusive true ending.

Steins;Gate would just be a lackluster piece of story that falls into the trope of every other time travel story, IF NOT FOR THE FIRST 12 EPISODES. The first 12 episodes gave us many things: 1: Character setup, we came to understand the characters not through some cheap flashbacks, or some narrator describing why they act how they act, but through their interaction with each other, their daily life, which worked wonders. People who usually watch anime or read manga that only lead the watchers/readers through your typical way won't be able to understand the significance of this. 2: The vibes. Steins;Gate has a vibe that no other time travel anime that I've ever seen has (+ the fact that I went and actually searched for something similar to came back with disappointment), and I won't be able to fully describe this. 3: The buildup. The vibe that the 12 episodes had were very calming, but lurking in that vibe is a feeling of unease, that continued to build up until reaching the final point that is episode 12. The feeling of unease was caused by the consequences of the ignorance of Okabe when dealing with something dangerous like time travel and Sern, which was blurred down by the slice of life vibe that Steins;Gate has in that 12 episodes. 4: Kurisu.

Steins;Gate was what got me into anime. I'll never forget my first watch. It's still the only anime that I went and bought the whole series on blu ray. It has a really great dub too! I honestly think it'll always be in my top 5 favorite anime.

When Steins;Gate 0 Anime came out, it was different from the game, but thats the beauty for this story, it doesn't matter if it's the same or not because of the infinite timelines Okabe went through, Steins;Gate has all the theory and development of the history and Steins;Gate 0 has the emotional development, an excellent complement for each other, so now I'm angry because of you, I need to re watch this masterpiece

A few months back I recommend this Time Travel Anime some one Ik from church because when I visited his house he had a time travel show on his TV, then that’s when I recommend it since he has watched the Iconic anime, while has a family I told him their are some moments where his kids don’t understand some adult jokes but it’s going to be a while till I visit him again to see what’s up.

Steins;Gate is truly a great anime. Despite watching many different anime series, none of them have ever impressed me so much. From the story, character development to the way the anime explains time travel, it's very good. It's even better when I branch out into the visual novel of the anime. Although the way the anime creates the time travel story by using scientific concepts like the butterfly effect, Kerr black hole to fictional details like how the 'PhoveWave', a.k.a Future Gadget No. 8 works, when I reflect back, I really find that the story becomes very coherent and surprisingly reasonable. It's just ... so peak!

still rmr when i watched this, i'm sucker for time travel/ mystery.. it was what later on lead me towards series like Dark and then after that i kept on searching more time travel masterpieces but unfortunately wasn't lucky enough, there were some but wasn't one par with these..

If you like mystery, there's bodies that came out recently about 4 detectives in different timenperiods finding the same dead body in the same location. And they have to work together through time with some twists here and there. There's also the time traveller's wife series but sadly got axed.

I NEVER really cared about animes' music until skyclad observer at the end of ep 23. Moreover for someone as socially awkward as me, HOUOUIN KYOUMA'S yapping has to be the greatest help to get throught my insecurities. I heavily recommend anyone to give à chance to this masterpiece
