I think he knew he is vs teutons, and in his head relied on lancers being faster and microing, but in such a messy game he rarely could micro properly 11. Nothing else he could go for, and as you said the pressure made it hard to switch to kipchaks. Also, teutons boom can be insane, i blinked and kasva had 100+ vils. Crazy fun game.

@@Memphisko Yep! I've found that Teutons are AMAZING at drowning your opponent so that they can't micro you. The only thing really holding them back IMO is their early game is a bit slow. I've managed to keep three opponents at the same time so busy that none of them could micro how they wanted by just spamming trash units and sending them on attack move. Almost all of my attention went into eco. With the cheaper farms, that meant I was able to be more efficient than them even with them spending gold and me not spending any... Which meant that I could drain them of gold without spending any. Which then means you can go right through them with an expensive army when they aren't ready for it. Teutons are way underrated, I think that is because towers aren't used as much as you should with them. (This game would be an excellent example of how to use them.)

I too posted a comment with the time-stamp 20:00 but predicted Kasva would win. I think Andy gave up way too early. He had sole control of the gold in the middle would have allowed him to sell gold for other resources as well as more easily make units that require gold. I don't understand why these high elo players call gg so early. I'm the other extreme. I don't give up until you've killed my last villager. I believe if you spread out, you can mount a come back in areas of the map the opponent is not watching. Keep making villagers and units and max out your population and keep the villagers working. Andy had 55 idle villagers!

@@patcoston I never fight to the last villager, unless my opponent was arrogant or rude in the chat, but I certainly have won games by spreading out and they never bothered scouting the remainder of the map.

I don't know how experienced you are with the game but I feel like for a game like this to happen both sides have to be this experienced, a lot of players wouldn't be able to handle Kasva like Andy did and extend the game to such measures, I know I wouldn't.
