This opens up insane possibilities. You can use this as a bcam for the car interior. Slap it on the windshield. You can also have creative shots by mounting it on objects or people. And since it's raw the footage can be matched to any camera

I learned about this app last month and instantly downloaded it. I have been using it to practice color grading as I don't have any other camera that can shoot 10bit video, let alone RAW video. The DNGs are only 10 bit (could be a limitation of my smartphone) but it's much better than 8bit DSLR/mirrorless video, and a huge leap from the mess that the default camera app outputs. I also love the fact that it is capable of open gate shooting. The main issue I have is that the PC version for converting the videos to DNG doesn't seem to work for me. The converter looks for .container files, but the files created by the app have a .mcraw extension. I tried renaming them to .container but that didn't work either. For now my only option is to convert the videos in the app itself.

Hi, I am fellow Motioncam user too . Found this app probably 5 months ago. The earlier versions used to output in containers file. you Have to update to the latest Beta that output mcraw file. Check the Discord community for motioncam.

Try updating the app itself - the PRO version does work with tools and have .mcraw extension. I don't remember - probably free version has limits with the container file itself (on purpose).

@@miesto_paukstis nah... Latest Free Beta has same Mcraw container. He just need to update to Latest free version.

U have the s22 ultra as well with 8gen1 but the app drops frame too much even shooting for few seconds. Any tips or suggestions pls.

@@RorenMovies I think it depends on your phone. Mine goes up to 30fps with full support. I'm also able to do up to 480fps but may generate drop frames.

Raw is inherently more noisy. Theres no noise refuction

If you have DaVinci resolve studio, using the temporal noise reduction works wonders. Otherwise spatial denoising will also do a decent job. It's what the stock camera is doing anyway.

My device has SD 8 gen 2 as well. I can record 4k videos for long minutes. It runs out of memory pretty fast though. My phone has 128 gb and it isn't enough for this beast of an app.
