FYI the phantom footsteps that the misdirection class produces are approximately 45 degrees off from where they actually are. So if they are popping to the left or right then chances are the guy is the opposite direction, if two sets are showing then directly 90 degrees from the central point is where the player is in space. Hope this helps someone and I hope it’s understandable.

@@Thereisnoname-_- so imagine the phantom steps off to your left, it’s 2 sets one like say far left and one nearer left. Then at the central point between those two sets 90 degrees so either they are just to your right or basically 180 from their which would be off your back left hip. Yeah it’s not exact science but it helps. If you turn right and don’t see em’ quick swipe a 180 and they should be about there. Gotta always be moving against this class too.

You cant simultaneously focus on which are real steps and listen for where the enemy is while also looking for the enemy meanwhile thinking about your 90degress 😂😂

@@loadingloading6653 I mean its not as complicated as I make it sound. Basically I see the footsteps indicator and I turn either left or right in relation to the indicator to see where the guy is. I use speed acceleration so if the first turn doesn't find him the quick turn will usually. Point is imagine a 360 degree circle around you and if fake footsteps are at point a, the that means real guy is at point b 45 degrees left or right of the fake step in your imaginary 360 ⭕

The thing about misdirection is that they'll still know your coming but footsteps are silent and they see a bunch of indicators from all directions I used it a lot too pretty fun

I find it easy to counter tbh if you just hold still for a few secs somewhere strategic you can figure out which are the real footsteps and usually they come running right past my sights

People do use misdirection but most of these people die early. I saw a solo guy coming to challenge my squad by using misdirection to sneak on us but he forgot that we could see him

Annihilator or Mythic Arctic + misdirection leaves other players baffled all the time. They try to push to the misguided spots leaving them completely vulnerable.

After they heavily nerfed the SW class, I tried to get used to with the Misdirection class. But it just didn't have the vibe for me. So I switched to Igniter and never regretted. Igniter is the best to counter shotgunners or campers or even doing a sweaty squad push!

I was trickster main until i tried misdirection and I never use trickster anymore. Misdirection is clutch at the very end of the match especially.

I wish they’d take the built in wall hacks, aka sound indicators, out the game. That way we can rely on audio and in game sense. I miss the old CODM.

It’s a good class I’ve used it a fair bit. Dogs are a good bit of annoying toxic play as is ravenger so I cycle between those 3. Blackout: ravenger is king..

It’s great to catch people slipping through walls or to breach rooms. Also can knock over vehicles if you time it right. The bit of damage it does can make a difference in a gun battle.

It’s not p2w, yea you can buy stuff to work with your skills but at the end what really wins is skills, for instance, have you ever seen broken using a p2w iron sight, never, he uses base weapons and still dominates the whole game, you can’t buy skills and codm is still one of those very few games where skills matter more than money

Although I agree with the sentiment you’re conveying, the example you used is terrible. Br0ken has every mythic and he maxes them out. He uses them all the time. Maybe not in his short ls because those are primarily sniper and shotguns clips. But in his gameplays he uses p2w guns all the time.
