This is awesome! Made me realize I had 20k to my name after paying cash for my car (still using daily to this day) in 2015 and now sitting on just over 200k in 2020. I’m 26 btw! Can’t wait to see where things go at 30 years old. My biggest secret is live below your means. You don’t need all the fancy clothes and cars. Rather spend your money on learning and traveling for a better life experience. Who cares if you don’t fit in with majority. You’re trying to live like the minority!

Financially, I wish I had heard of this in my 20s too. But really, I don't know how I would have gone through my work career if I had FIRE in mind from the start... it would have been psychologically draining. I found FIRE in my mid-thirties, I already had no debt, a paid off home and $100k in savings, so I it wasn't too bad.

I'm looking into this as well. I began seriously educating myself on financial literacy 2 years ago, when my student loans hit 10K and I was injured at work. I've currently educated myself on budgeting, retirement and health savings accounts, student loans repayment plans, investments, and FIRE. I quickly realized that job security wasn't much of a thing anymore and I could be unable to work at any time. I also noticed that houses and neighborhoods with good public schools were even pricier than I thought. I want to be a homeowner and MIGHT want to raise a child one day (who I'd plan to be home with full-time); both of which I'd be aiming for in my early 30's. I also want to travel several times a year, retire comfortably, and pass on without burdening my family with debts. I'm too disabled to work enough to pay for all of this, and may become too disabled to work at all in the future. I will only have good odds of a healthy quality of life if I learn to wisely invest and create passive income. I won't be contributing to this unhealthy trap of working ourselves sick for comfortability we won't be able to fully enjoy.

Is it possible to invest only in good, moral, and sustainable companies and still have a decent return? I admire people who are able to be frugal and save up and invest however If their investments are just feeding into the crap companies that are monopolizing America and the world then that’s something I have a big problem with.

@@froyokid while I have been feeding crap companies unknowingly my entire life, I have made many positive changes however I can not afford to make the sustainable choice in every aspect of my life. I do better where I can and I strive to do better every day. Sometimes I mess up and sometimes I don't have a choice. Also, wearing lipstick does not equate to feeding a crap company because there are sustainable options out there which you could not tell by just looking at my lipstick. Now, this photo was taken 5 years ago and it was an old lipstick that was gifted to me so in a way someone had to support a crap company for it to end up in my hands. I don't even wear almost any makeup anymore. I try my best to support local and sustainable companies with my dollar and take away from the big guys. My little bit is minuscule but it still means something. So I'm not perfect but I am working towards doing better and I don't want to make matters worse by investing in crap companies that will do well just in the interest of a high return. I don't see what is wrong with that. Levi from levihildebrandsavestheworld mentioned a cool company that you can invest with where they only have sustainable companies available but they are only in Canada the last time I checked. Something like that sounds like a great start to me.

I got APPS, SQ, and some other former hot IT stocks. Down 4% a day is average the past few weeks. I got a transportation etf that is down 25% in 2 freaking days. That is an ETF for goodness sake. I put $2500 in it and it is like $1600 now. Insane for an etf.

I think I might have come across this name on a Bloomberg interview where she spoke about how the financial market is being affected by the pandemic and the ongoing issues in Iran also, I really learnt a lot from her

Investment is good but the market seems uncertain for now; however, you can get yourself a professional financial advisor who will manage your investment for you.

Wait a second, she said she reached 6 figures when she was 25, but then the next screen says she is planning to get to a million in net worth by 35??

Yup that's the snowball effect. Earlier you start the earlier you become a millionaire

@@KKatee777 It's never too late honestly. The younger you are you just have the advantage. I'm doing the same being 24 with a 6 figure net worth and wanting my million by the time I'm 35

Soo she graduated college with no debt...2 things most millennials don’t have. I would rather spend my money than live in newton. That’s where you move when youre 40 and have kids and want a good school district.

But would she be able to FIRE without selling FIRE courses? Most people making under 50k/year will never be able to do this... Good luck
