Yeah I had to walk a lot. Mirror trade bomberdier and use all my rare XLs to build this. 148 XLs. So glad it worked. Went 3-2 x2, 2-3, and then back to back 4-1s in the sets I submitted. Thanks for showing my battles Henry.

Got rid of poison jab and gave it poison sting. Only really viable charge moves now are stone edge/earthquake. Just a poison type Gfisk.

Attack debuffs and level 50 were the death of ultra league. It’s wild to watch matches where one person has great alignment the whole time still almost go to timeout

Its honestly why not many people enjoy UL and just go with the other format instead. No restrictions to just timeout spammers like that Steelix at 7:50 who just kept spamming Breaking Swipe on the Registeel + 2 shield burns and still lost that match running triple tank. Like just watching that match was extremely painful as you can all just see how much time people waste having to deal with those matches. Why spend 25minutes per set when you can make 1 set atleast 15mins or less, it means you spend atleast close to 1h 30min to finish 5 sets a day when it can just take less than 1hour.

YO i just hit veteran for the first time ever using scrafty, charjabug and nidoqueen in the halloween cup :D Last season (before finding this channel) i couldnt get above rank 20 so thank you for your entertaining and informative content. Its really helped and hitting veteran is now evidence of that. Keep at it my guy

Such an elegant Pokemon, and while it's tough to build, it seems to be very useful as a closer/sweeper, especially with this strategy of double tank + shield advantage.

Yeah giving it shield advantage is the best for it. Cress and regi are some of the best tanks. Having good IVs like mine really helps when trying to use this strategy.

Melmetal lead with xerneas and rayqauaza has been putting in work. Rock slide and super power and then traditional movesets on the other 2

Anyway you can do either shadow garchomp " reg will be fine " d-tail/mud outrage sandtomb/earth team or houndstone team with lick shadowball psychic fang/dig

i feel like future sight cresselia is better as a safe swap than as a lead. as a lead you want to have the most versatile coverage possible, so grass knot can fill that roll better, but as a safe swap you can go for moonblast against say a charizard, then go for future sight right after to secure shield or switch advantage. aside from that, still a really solid team, sad that i wasn't actively playing when bombirdier was available

If I see skeli I stay in with cress and go for future sight then bait Moonblast. You should be able to get to a future sight then a moon blast bait to get a shield. Then come in with regi to get rid of it. Then use your closer to hopefully finish the game.

Thinking of the game in terms of these strategies can help people realize there's more to the game than just blind luck or alignment. Yeah regi and cress aren't the most exciting to watch, but it can teach people how to view their battles in a more complex way :)

@@flygonnagetyou Anything that resist dragon and/or can also hit neutral/super against Steelix are it's hardest counters with Tapu Fini being the #1. Honestly why so many Virizion/Cobalion are always around this season with just those coverage already.

Spice pick + 2 super meta picks really guts the spice for me. Black pepper mayo level of spice.

Yeah it does a little. If you're running a glass cannon this is probably the best strategy so you can get a shield advantage. If you can get shield advantage with Pokemon other than cress and regi go for it. I might try other Pokemon to see if it works.
