It took me like around 3 hours to get a 50-60% win rate against the new bots and I used to lms every day.

Better way that gets a kill every time. Pray melee, 1 tick from cbow to whip. You'll hit the bot off pray with the whip every hit.

Except you don’t need to swap pray just stay on melee and just click the crossbow then right back to whip. Works wonders

I just kept doing the mime emotes and they would start doing the laugh emote and then I would kill them.

With the inflation from the Raids 4 bot this comes out to 4 Tunas or a shark a day being bought.

They make up a sizeable portion of Jagex's revenue, and Jagex knows that people will stop playing if they can't buy gold; the amount of gold that bots make also drives down the prices of everything in game. They're a necessary evil to both players, and Jagex. It just sucks that the people that make money off of it are scumbags.

@@KC-bg1th Bots don't actually generate revenue for Jagex. A F2P bot can earn a bond in a day, and botters are a net loss for Jagex thanks to credit card shenanigans like chargebacks and fraud.

Meanwhile reddit cant even get past dragon slayer and are complaining the game is too grindy at 600 total level but you're going to tell me a total level requirement is going to stop botting in runescape? It's lazy and a spit in the face on the players by Jagex. The solution is reinvesting and improving their detection instead of putting up half-assed road blocks for the sake of time and difficulty. If people are getting run over by cars when crossing the street the solution isn't making the road narrower so the pedestrian needs to cover less distance, but improving the infrastructure, putting traffic lights up, signs, building a bridge or tunnel for crossing. But that wouldn't be a "good" business decision, because that costs money, a lot of money. While simultaneously diverting focus from pumping out "content" to something the average player probably wouldn't notice unless they took a step back. We're in the age where people aren't driving cars but cars are driving people and you're going to tell me 500 total level is going to "buy the detection system more time" so bots get banned now.... LOL. I wish I was as naïve as you then, world would seem like such a better place.

I suspect it's more like10-20% bots, 10-5%rwt/gold farmers and 20% alt scapers

They keep bots and false ban legitimate players, happens all the time.

could also be just shooting in the dark and assuming you have these big items, similar to the email scam where they email people and say "we have videos of you doing embarrassing stuff on your webcam, better send us money or else" when there was never a video to begin with, just a very good chance you were doing embarrassing stuff

It works for the simple bots but not the ones which run around and 1 tick 4 ways ever tick - best way I've found is to barrage them with dagger equip then do what you say (if you can 1 tick barrage then that's much better)

It's used to preserve the bots, not the accounts selling the gold. Gold still needs to be amassed into large amounts whenever it's being transferred to seller accounts or to buyers at the bottom line; the bottom line will always end up getting banned after it triggers red flags due to irregular trading i.e. transferring to mules, and/or selling the gold to buyers.

A majority of the bots will be coded through public bot clients with public documentation. And they all use Java.

You guys, despreate times ask for despreate measures. There are people on this planet that live in poverty and are despreate to pay rent. For them, this thing of making bots to rwt is how they survive while others play this game and pay for it even. Imagine your existence depended on scamming people who pay for an online game in their free time. Most people would do it, regular people who just do it as a hobby do it even, it's not hard to figure out why people scam. For them the concept of morals is a privilege.

Anyone can see these bots, if you don't see them, you aren't playing.

lmao never. If jagex really wanted the bots gone, it would take a month and 2 mods. The bots are never going anywhere, you play on a java client (biggest reason that osrs is 50% bots) and bot owners are keeping your server alive. If jagex nukes the bots like they did in 2011, they'd lose most of the profit they make.

@Gaming Legend69 basically yeah, they gave it to one of their own friends and the scammer used their second account to underlog the owner of the tbow with a very similar name and traded the guys friend.. The friend didn't suspect anything and traded the tbow over assuming it was the guy. No doubt there's multiple other scams they do there that have worked, but this is one I've seen first hand.

It's honestly insane that little to nothing has been done to combat it. Should have much stricter requirements or playtime. Same with Soulwars

probably just a bot being maybe doing a quest or going somewhere to do bot things but someones gotta follow the bot next time to see where it goes and what they are doing exactly so we can determine if its having a bad effect upon the game and if its a big enough problem to get it stopped

@@maltardraco9555 I found a massive bot farm doing the Christmas event too. It wasn't the 42069 bots either on 301. I hopped multiple worlds and found hundreds of default spawn character bots on each world with a name/word/number username combo running the Christmas event. I followed a handful and they would finish up disappear and my character would run to the fally garden fence, sit there about 2 minutes and then the bot would reappear in the garden, walk out and go into a shop in fally square and then disappear again. Never returned, my character never moved. Not sure where they went. I'll bet there's 10s of thousands of event uniques in play right now due to these couple farms.

Makes me miss the good ol days when bots could be stopped by a door... lol
