I'm 52 (born 1969), and I have never been able to afford a mortgage, it was MY parents generation that fucked everything up, in the 60's by walking in & out of jobs, and popping kids out. The previous generation who lived through the wars were the real heart & soul of things, they had to struggle.

@@swansmeister it's a fantastic budget build. What did he buy it for again? 10k right? For that you can fix couple issues like timing or rebuild if needed and get the basic maintenance done. He only has about 20k in this car, people have spent more on civic builds. For a luxury car this is a really cheap and fast one that won't let you down. I'm kind of pissed I didn't keep my I6 3 series when I was younger. I'm older now and I need a family suv that's fast, so basically an Sq5. Plus... this sq5 tuned is pretty mad tbh.

Me purposely having my first child by the time I was 21 and my second by 24 (both to the same woman whom I'm still with now at age 30. I didn't have kids because the system wanted me to (which It does) I did it cos I settled down with a good woman at a young age and and wanted a family. I haven't worked a single day for over 9 years because I'm strength and conditioning coach and I don't see that as work, I'm paid to do something I'd happily do for free. I drive a pretty decent hot hatch, I own my own home so my kids have something to inherit.. Your conception of life isn't everyone's conception my guy.

just a case of traction, or rather the 1 series' lack of. a lot easier to modulate the throttle with less power, and the 1 series was run on a greasy road. that 1 series is definitely more optimised for a 60-120 rather than a 0-60

Those E36 are very good.The handling and having fun with it,it is one of the best.The E46 is good too,but to me it always looked more heavier and more stockier.E36 looks more elegant.

Something about seeing this car in motion makes it look like it's going much faster than cars that could be faster than it; I think that's combination of the owner being a good driver, the car having a lot of usable power as was said, and the noise... damn that thing sounds good. I love this car so much; and it being such a cheap but quality build is just the icing on the cake, it's the underdog we're all rooting for.

Lmao @ new beemers. Imagine blowing 80k on an e36 coupe. I'd give it a 2jz+t max 500atw build then go to town on brakes, wheels, suspension, massage the arches for about 265 square footing, trick aero, weight reduction and finish it off with a cage and some sweet leather trimming and it would destroy a new beemer in both looks and performance. The e30-e46 coupes are really the pinnacle of beemer design and the e36 is a perfect middle-ground of old school and modern. Fun build!

Things like this is what makes you smile, built not bought, anyone can PCP a Golf R, stick afew breather mods on and map it, boom you're pushing 500hp, congrats....... but this takes time, thought process, trial and error to get to the finished product, love it, you should make a "built not bought" section to the channel and really push it to give these cars a platform that has the appreciative audience, just a thought jamie 😉

My mates younger brother back in the day turbo charged his 89 (or less) bmw, back in 2001-03 ish ....a black box shape model. Not seen him in years but did a drive by their house and it's still in his garden. I just remember I wished I had learned more about engines in my youth.
