Not only is the Starlight Story true, it goes deeper than that: So, when Quincy, MJ, Rod and engineer Bruce Swedien recorded the OG tracklist of Thriller, Quincy listened and said, "Let's remove the 4 weakest Songs and replace them," challenging MJ and Rod to write New songs, as well as his stable of writers. They removed 4 songs - She's Trouble, Got The Hots, Hot Street and Carousel. The songs that replaced them were Human Nature, The Lady In My Life (written by Rod), PYT, and at the 11th hour, Beat It (written by MJ).

Mecca comes from the era where people really put time and effort, passion, and pain into the music. So that’s why at times he’s so excited to hear these stories cause it’s a reminder of how things were. You still got a few artist/producers that have that same mindset, but it’s rare in this day and age.

Them 12 hour weekend shifts are horrible. I got trapped on a Thursday to Thursday 12 hour night shifts. Keep grinding and try get on that Mon - Fri 8 hour days with optional overtime. Be safe.
