A bucket full of chub minnows, bronze/brass hooks and a slip bobber is all you need. For artificial bait for crappie, I use a "popeye" and a meal worm on it's hook. Deadly for crappie and bluegill both. Yes, crappie like crawdads and bass really love them. You need to take dad's excavator and make yourself a nice minnow pond and keep and raise only minnows in it. That's what I do. I use bread loaf heels as bait in my traps.

Fish with the crawfish. Pull the claws off and hook them between a couple ribs in the tail. Or in the under belly where its hard. Catch, bass, catfish, carp, walleye.

Do a Bass Catch and Cook! Use the Crawdads as bait. Don't kill them when you hook em. We always use a little rubber band to hold the hook on their back. Hook facing up of course. Chuck em out and let em crawl around.

Best Crappie lure is a tiny tube jig with a small lead head hook in it. Black and white is the color to go but you won't find that at Walmart
