I have the PolarPro system, which is ok, but I believe this is the best matte box system in the market with the best value. I'm migrating to this in the near future.

That's interesting to hear, what didn't you like about the PolarPro? I have to say I've been impressed by the Eiger, works great and does everything I need a matte box to do.

@@JonathanPalfrey PolarPro Basecamp is overall ok. The CPL created small bubbles within the first 2-3 months. The turning mechanism feels cheap as hell and clunky. And getting the CPL out to just use the matte box alone is complicated vs Eiger. It does render ages beautifully, but that's just how CPL's work, also the filters are insanely expensive and limited vs Eiger, Tilta, Smallrig. Problem with Tilta is not being good fory 200-600mm G which has 95mm filter thread and not being good for ultra wide or even 24mm with the IBIS on. Smallring is good but doesn't seem and clean as the filters of Eiger and a bit clunky as well.

Nice one, Palfers. Personally I prefer a bigger, industry standard 4x4 matte boxes on my tripod rigs, just for the variety of ND filters. Interesting though. Use the Tilta one on my smaller rigs.

Yeah full size 4x4 ones are the way to go if you use lots of different filters, certainly wouldn't make sense to 'downgrade' to something like this. This one is really nice though, I just hope it continues to get support from them and they release future filters for it.
