Today I fitted my new wheels and exhaust to the WRX. Any boy have they made a difference. Let me know what you think of the change!

I fitted similar wheels to my VB. Wedsport SA72R in bronze & finally get a Varex cat back exhaust fitted tomorrow. I kinda did my mods in reverse by doing wing,lip, skirts,spats & engine bay. Next is a mesh type grille & brace bar.

U.s. spec vbs don't have that big resonator on the mid pipe

Were there any issues in swapping over the TPM sensors to the new wheels?

Yeah the work wheels have quite a small valve stem so they said it wouldn't fit on. I have found some tpms valve stems online that are slim so I'm going to get those and then have them try again in the new year so there isn't the dash error light - most wheels should be able to just swap over

How did you get the rims? Did you send work company an email or did you get them from somewhere else

I got them from a company called JDMconcept who are an authorised work dealer in Sydney. Another good contact is Jesse Streeter in Japan who can get anything and ship super fast internationally

The varex are a disappointment. Only benefit is theres no drone. But with the valves open it’s not that loud. Stock is louder.

It's definitely louder than stock, but it does need a full turbo back to make it a good subie tone

You can add a Rae Motorsports intermediate pipe which would open the exhaust up lots. Deletes the second cat and resonator plus no tune required

Sounds slightly louder than stock open. Not a fan.

I'll do another video once the Intermediate pipe is in, the second cat makes it super quiet still sadly

Hows the drone with this exhuast open and closed?

In the closed closed position you can barely hear anything and open there's minimal drone. I later changed the intermediate pipe forward of the catback as well which has made it all a lot louder, but on the highway with the varex closed it's still quiet and the drone immediately goes away.

@@CRMAG87 it's not like the older generations where you got a pretty loud car. I think this is because the rumble is not as prevalent with this car having equal length headers. It's noticeable but. Stock is near silent. I am happy with the intermediate pipe deleting the second cat and this varex catback but I like my cars really loud

@@JoelBrownefilms yea loud is fine for me ut need drone free for the kid in the back seat.. as long as its drone free closed and actually louder then stock open ill be happy.

@@CRMAG87 yeah with just the catback it's got a bit of noise but nothing that is unbearable and with the valves closed it's almost stock sounding again
