Ephesians 6:10-18 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints. The bible is no old book. You have to really let Christ open your eyes; to see the world in shambles. Many people say it's a religion to lock up people in chains, and say it's a rule book.. why? Because people hate hearing the truth, it hurts their flesh, it's hurts their pride, it's exposes on what things have they done..people love this world so much, s*x, money, power, women, supercars.. things of this world. Still trying to find something that can fill that emptiness in your heart. You can't find that in this world.. only in Christ, the bible is no chains, it's a chainbreaker. Breaking your sins into pieces... Repent now, and turn back to the true Lord only.. God bless.😊😊

One thing I love about the Mechanical Turk is that it predates so much of what we think of as robotics and mechanical (now electronic) games. It was fake, yes - the technology wasn't there at the time. But it _was_ there in the minds of the people who viewed it, and of course the men who made it - a real piece of Science Fiction, a creation that dreams about what might be possible in the future, and that sometimes predicts what the future really will hold.

This is actually the second version of this machine, which was reassembled by a different guy. No one ever knew if the first version of the machine actually had a human in there or not. It is also worth mentioning that the first machine was allegedly stronger and play a gambit that wasn’t even invented yet for 40 years in its debut game.
@georgeofhamilton8 ай бұрын
Yeah, well, there’s no way somebody invented a chess automaton that powerful back then that.
@deauthorsadeptus69208 ай бұрын
@@georgeofhamiltonWell, they could, in theory make a machine that could work like a chess bot (albeit purely mechanical one, folks really underestimate what can be done with some gears and smart engeenireing). But there is no way it would be able to read inputs from board, without some insanely complex mechanism attached directly to pieces.
@georgeofhamilton8 ай бұрын
@@deauthorsadeptus6920 It’s not just a matter of what’s possible with a mechanical system. I believe that engineering theory just wasn’t advanced enough at the time and that the materials that were available just weren’t strong enough for a machine of that complexity and size.
@deauthorsadeptus69208 ай бұрын
@@georgeofhamilton Puppet isn't really that complex. Same is true with mechanical calculator for chess, the only thing that they needed to make one is very good math (and that at the time was WIP).
@omargoodman29996 ай бұрын
@@georgeofhamilton And even if they were, getting the funding for it would have been a heroic task... Charles Babbage had designs for a mechanical computer, the Difference Engine, _well_ before the advent of digital computing. But when he tried getting funding from the British Parliament to go about building it, they were just too tech-illiterate to comprehend it and turned him down.
