@@robf the strat is to get the bounty, then run a gambit, and look within your mates if one of them has a "free join" clan. if they do, join it, and finish the game. poof, that's 1/10 progress i have yet to test it while joining the clan of the enemy, but i wouldn't be surprised.

Clan went through this as part of Day1, completely bodied another team, saw they had the 75 motes gathered, 0 on anyone else. Normally play as a Sentry/Invader, felt bad at the end of the game when seeing the full team wipes and both invaders downed. Queued against them again immediately afterwards. Threw the game. We cleared the waves, left the motes, emoted whenever their invader arrived. We just chatted for the 5 minutes until the other team won (and got "Protect the Runner"). Everyone else was fair game though. So sorry if you ran into a Worldline Zero Sentry killing you on spawn...

Gambit was amazing Gambit prime with armor man games used to actually be close and intense Back before heavy spam cuz you get bricks after each area Back when dps was in one spot Back when dredgen actually meant something and was legitimately a hard title to earn Back when 20 blockers would fk yo sht Back when you actually had to use primary ammo when invading unless you were lucky enough to have heavy Back when you actually had to think about when to use heavy and if to use it on boss or invades Back when gambit actually took still… Back when the drifter’s coin actually lit on fire And that’s the one I miss the most… he was so cool

Honestly having onslaught defense upgrades in gambit would be pretty nice, maybe use motes as a currency but use them for anti blocker or anti invader countermeasures

You made some good points but 20 mote blockers were a joke. They were a miniboss but they had no health so they were easy to shred even without sentry armor. Secondly even before we got a heavy box after every wave heavy was still being spammed because people were using taken armaments to get bricks basically whenever they wanted so it was everywhere. Even with the cheese heavy spam now it is not hard to put down an invader or get a 4k while invading if you know what you're doing unless you literally spawn with them staring at you. I love Gambit (11 gilded Dredgen) but I'm not gonna pretend it was ever perfect lol

@@DJET723 same thing I said to my friends Onslaught literally could of just been a gambit rework First team to 50 waves and beat boss wins and then tormentors can be like a 20 blocker was and then ofc the invading And similar to the old armor being near the adu will drain its life (old gambit set would drain notes if near bank)

@@ShadowNemesis575 definitely not perfect also back then I was relatively new to the game so I didn’t even know about taken armaments till literally just now (and it explains a lot) 20 blocks weren’t too common but whenever I would get them it was pretty scary (remember I was new) but tormentors could be a good replacement it’s true gambit has never been perfect but imo it was way more fun back then and it could be cuz I was new but that was as close to perfect as its ever been (I am a x5 gilded dredgen and gave up after 5 gilds cuz the icon looks like a 15 blocker in weird like that and cuz I forgot to do it one season and was sad I’ll forever be one below the highest so 5 I shall stay unless I accidentally gild it)

I do enjoy that Cross is the only one of the bigger Destiny creators out there that will still (willingly) occasionally hop into Gambit and make a vid about it. lol But yeah as a stack I believe it’s super sweaty. As a solo you still mostly get other solos in matchmaking and plenty of clueless people still in there not banking and dying all the time on both sides. Izanagi has definitely been the Gambit meta forever so surprised you had never come across it. The crazier thing is Leviathan’s Breath is also just as oppressive. Can one-shot you anywhere on the body no matter resilience!

I feel one of the big issues with Gambit is rolls everyone jumps at it with what ever builds and in reality like they try to implement with gambit prime if you gear up to a roll you shred, if you go with an invador build, you can kill incoming invadors and slay when you jump to the other side, yeah I know good team spawn hunt you if they have enough experience but that on any mode on Destiny, the way a team should be made is having 1 invader and the rest to erase the adds as fast as possible and later on change for DPS but must people don't swap even tho we now have loadouts and easier than ever. I got Reckoner solo all the way did for a single fire team in the process and got to learn a lot of why I was failing matches, regardless of how good the other team was by example when invade portal opens ones the prime evil is out you don't want to jump in right away you want to wait until they damage the prime evil, so you can interrupt the DPS face and take them down they will usually stay close to each other and people usually jump right away they haven't pop supers or are not even ready for DPS.
