This video is more of a review than a reaction. I cover the Manga Delicious in Dungeon. The anime has episodes 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20,21,22,23,24. They are all great!
It is a great fantasy anime that is NOT an Isekai!

Oh, I know, half way through the first season the show takes off like crazy, I meant that the show starts its main quest super efficiently, especially if you look at frieren- taking 4 whole episodes.

@@JavanAnimeoh yea i see what you mean now, its a slow burn for sure lol. still tho, even though the real plot and tone has already started revealing itself by now, it's nothing compared to how crazy next season will be. ive been re-reading the manga and the place where season 2 should be starting is just gonna be a nonstop onslaught of plot, lore, and action right from the get-go. i cant wait for people to see what a huge contrast it'll be from the way season 1 opened lol

What a lot of people forget which colors their view of Laios negatively, is the reason why they seem like they’re not in a hurry to save Falin. First off… Laios and friends thought that the dragon was asleep, as that is their normal behavior. And when you are asleep, the digestive tract slows down. Based on the size of this dragon, they estimated that they had roughly a month before it starts to get active again. Also, #2, they only SEEM as if they’re not in a hurry, because they are pacing themselves and eating 2-3 meals daily. They’re actually traversing the dungeon in RECORD time. They managed to get all the way down to the 4th floor within a WEEK! That is hella fast, especially when you consider that none of the current members of the party has access to teleportation magic.

That’s sick for sure, I just thought it was funny within the episodes how it makes me forget there was an actual threat going on. I love laios, he’s easily my second favorite character (behind Senshi) he has charming faults, but he LOCKS IN when it matters.

fun fact: irl, giant squids are very high in ammonia and supposedly taste kind of like pee, so that's probably why senshi didn't want to eat them lol

Lamo the reason they're taking so many breaks to eat is: 1: The fifth floor is far away 2: They don't want to repeat the mistake that got them in this mess in the first place 3: bc they need to eat??

I wish there were more anime like dungeon meshi and frieren, i thought i had lost my love for anime but after watching these 2 i have the same felling i had 10 years ago. I hate animes that have lolis that are always screaming, pervs that are the comic relieve and super op mc that gained power out of nowhere. Any recommendations?

It's hard to find perfect comparisons to these shows, but Ranking of Kings would be my first pick (some people say the art style is childish, but I find it very pleasant). To Your Eternity has a similar emotional vibe, so I could also recommend that (however, I'm not caught up so it could fall off). Those are the two I can think of off the top of my head, I hope this helps.

Do you even play D&D? On D&D ouf course there's dragons, driads, slimes, minotaurs but thete's also creatures like spiders, rats, scorpions just bigger and that's normal thing. Also mandrakes are real thing. They're not screaming to death. It's normal plant with root reminding of little child. And I understand you. I'm also sick of whole isekai anime. I recommend you to read manga Dundeon Meshi.

Very slight spoilers from an extra page of the manga . . . . . Laios, the main character and monster otaku that he is, actually agrees in that he does not like stories of Dragon Slayers because he wants dragons to keep their reputation of being the toughest monsters, and thinks that stories of a single person being able to take down a dragon are an insult to their strength. So maybe he would agree with you.
