Thank you for sharing this. This is a dish that I really like. I'm disabled now, and I can't afford eating out, hardly ever. This is where I went for Christmas. So, I might make it once eveyr few months now. Because I think my SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) will help assist and make this meal cheaper and easier to afford. Thank you, Chef from the Olive Gardens.

Ok guys you need to make this recipe for your family! It will be on our dinner rotation from now on! 😋 I've just made it for my family and everyone loves it. My hubby says it taste just like Olive Garden Lasagna. He says, "We no longer need to go to Olive garden for his favorite lasagna when he can have it at home." Hahaha! 😊 PS I used 1 lb of Johnsonville Hot All Natural Italian sausage and 2 -28 oz cans of Cento (Italian Kitchen) crushed tomatoes. Good luck!

Sometimes i don't realize how lucky i am for being italian: the only good thing about living in Italy is that we have the real italian food. No imitations, no hypercaloric versions of any dish. Just the real ones. nutritious, simple and delicious

Sig Shooter i don't really know any sites, but on youtube the most famous italian cooking channel is giallozafferano. it's in italian but if i'm not mistaking there are subtitles. it's the most reliable one and the most complete :)

I cook real Italian food as taught by my Italian mother-in-law. Her eggplant is unbeatable. But I have to say, I absolutely love Olive Gardens Lasagna. I like it because the meat sauce is refined, not overly chunky like you make at home or other restaurants, and I also prefer the thin noodles with the perfectly layered cheeses. I even prefer the sauce to some I've had in "real Italian" restaurants. But can't say I like much else there, especially the breadsticks, white hot dog bread!

Honestly not a terrible recipe for generic American style Lasagne. The only thing I would do differently is I would drain the fat from my meat to prevent it from being too greasy.

I use bechamel too, but it's just too bothersome to make it and it's one of the reasons I don't make lasagna too often. So I'm definitely gonna try this version and I don't really care if it's classic or not :)

well it seems like it is actually right because i've watched italians cook lasagna like Laura Vitale and Gennaro Contaldo they use a "cheese sauce" with the base of ricotta then different kinds of cheese like mozarella, romano, parmigiano instead of a more american twist which is a bechamel sauce that has a base of roux and milk

I'm Mexican and I eat taco bell. Taco bell is not bad, its Americanized and doesn't beat actual Mexican food, but it's still good. Same thing with olive garden. Just cause you're a certain race, doesn't mean you cant enjoy the Americanized version of it. If the shit tastes good, it tastes good. Youre allowed to like an Americanized version of your culture's food. Enjoy it. End of story.

Lasagna is Italian. The Olive Garden lasagna was inspired by the original Italian lasagna with fresh pastas sheets layered with Bolognese ragu and bechamel fillings.

Made this tonight and found it tasteless. I think we used the wrong kind of sausage and I also think we should have simmered the meat sauce a lot longer than 20 minutes. Baking this at 325 degrees for 1 hour did not seem to bake the dish. It was not hot and bubbly like I feel it should have been. I am willing to tweak a few things next time and try for a better tasting lasagna.

I just had lasagna last night over a friend's house and she also added to the meat sauce half of a green and red bell pepper chopped and 2 packets of Goya seasoning with achioti (the orange box). It gives it more flavor. She cooked it a lot longer. It was delicious.

I do like Olive Garden Lasagna but this is not it, I mean it looks like its smaller, anorexic brother. If I went to Olive Garden and got this on my plate I would send it back, did you see how THIN it is, at Olive Garden it is about 4 times thicker then this, but of course you know they are not going to tell you the REAL recipe as people would stay home and make it and not spend the $17 for it in the restaurant.

Wow. A few people in the comments, who bit you in the ass? Unnecessarily rude. There are many different types of ways to prepare and cook dishes. If the recipe is different from how you normally cook it, that does not make this particular recipe wrong.
