It was too good to be true... I found a gorgeous piece of signed and stickered Murano, and hiding right next to it was a stunning piece of my favorite glass!!!!! I was so excited that they were restocking the shelves as I shopped because This Could Be My BEST GOODWILL FIND Ever! Thrift with me and find out exactly what it is.......
Hello Everyone! Its Tiffany with Thrifting Vegas. I shop at thrift stores, estate sales, garage sales and discount stores for items I can resell for a profit on online platforms like eBay, Poshmark and Offer-Up.
Its Friday night about 4pm and summer has arrived in Las Vegas. Its 100 degrees today, and I'm excited because I haven't thrifted my favorite Goodwill in a week! I know that its not going to be too busy because there are plenty of carts available as I walk in.... and as I reach the hard goods section I'm thrilled to see that they are restocking the shelves. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I can find some treasures and fill my cart. Thrift with me and learn what to bolo and what to leave on the shelf and why. I found a gorgeous blue oval Viking platter, a green glass serving bowl, a brass horse key caddy, a cherub wall hanging, a Fenton white hobnail candle holder, a Turkish coaster and trivet set, a bizarre wrought iron rooster riding a penny farthing bicycle, a piece of Beaumont Brothers Salt Glazed Pottery, and my prize, an amazing signed and stickered Murano Glass Vase!! Great finds again. That vase is gorgeous. I used to have that Pampered Chef mold. It makes a beautiful chapel with white almond bark and also an adorable schoolhouse...leaving off the bell for the chapel.

Great finds! Compared to the crappy Goodwills in my area, this Goodwill doesn’t even seem real. So much nice stuff! The Goodwills in my area of north central Pennsylvania all are stocked with stuff that is like last day of 3 day yard sale stuff that no one wants.

I base my shopping on things I recall from growing up. I am midcentury modern myself, going grown up in the 60's and 70's so I watch for familiar items from that time. I also learned a lot about what people find desirable by working at a thrift store

What a great glass haul. I've been thrifting for vintage bicentennial 1976 pieces for my summer decor this year. Been lucky finding some great 1976 stamped glass pieces to add in and light up in my Americana theme displays.

Beautiful pieces in this haul! I am a fan of both colored and clear glass. Not sure why clear doesn't sell well. I think it is lovely with the sun coming through it and clear matches any decor. 💖🌹💍💎

Those are some fantastic finds. I lucked up on a Murano partridge in perfect condition a couple of months ago. Today I got a very old trunk with intact handles and hardware. I just love it. Will be using as a coffee table with a fantastic wooden tray on top that i found a few months ago. The condition is amazing. Good luck and happy hunting .

That particular Goodwill sure has a nice system of keeping their shelves stocked and in neat order, compared to a few of the junkier Goodwill and independent second-hand shops around the country.

Sorry that I missed wishing you a Happy Mother’s Day! I hope you had a lovely day and that you were pampered. 💐 The Murano Sommerso piece is gorgeous and such a wonderful find! I hope you get a huge price for it on eBay. I think that’s a nice color and will hopefully bring a nice, tidy profit! Lots of nice things today - your GW is still proving to be reliable. My favorite item today is the rooster on the bike! I was sorely tempted as I think he’d look great in my kitchen, but I’m sure he’s long gone. Maybe a good thing that I’m just now getting to watch the video! Bandit and Bear stole the show at the end as usual. Both are such sweethearts. Bear is a good boy and I loved seeing him point you to where his bowl belonged. Give all the furry boys hugs!

It is called a branding iron. A brand is the name used to Brand cattle and animals with that signifies ownership.

You found some really beautiful items that I myself would have bought for my own home. The antique/vintage mirror comes with a comb and brush and the set that I picked up about 6yrs ago came with some makeup brushes. It’s about 25-30yrs old. They were mass produced. Well worth the $25 you’re going to be asking for it. Have a great week!!😍

Like you, I have learned along the way about antiques and collectibles by going to antique store, flea markets, estate sales and thrift stores and studying items that interest me. I look online, but I also have a large number of collecting books about different brands of pottery, glass, toys, 50's items, Christmas collectibles, etc. I bought some of these online, but I also bought many of them when an antique store closed and they were selling off these reference books. Many have out-of-date values of the items, but they have been extremely helpful with identifications. There are lots of color photos in these books and I've spotted things on shelves that I'd seen while thumbing through the books that I would not have recognized before. Ebay is a good place to buy some of these books.
