About Whitney I'm sadden she was conflicted she had people surrounding her that was toxic. Our environment plays a big part in our well being. If you have a love one that is going through hard times the best thing to do is to love them and pray.

When my sister came out it saddened me as well as upset me. I had to come to the realization that she's still my sister and I still love her. Cause at the end of the day we are still sisters. As a matter of fact we have become closer since she came out.

I agree with you PT on that point about Whitney Houston. I just watched her life story on cable that talked about her life and her relationships with both Robyn and Bobby. The whole family depended on Whitney for financial security...it was a lot for Whitney to deal with.
@droopy12able6 жыл бұрын
You got that right...her mother----her struggle w/GOD-- Entertainment Business, etc..etc..That women went thru so much Hell with knowing she had to financially support 50 people (her family and friends) ,,, try to be who she really was and have ALL that Fame, not even being able to take a breath in between. I ask you (and me, as well) - how long could any one do that? My God, when I think of all that TALENT--I want to cry...and I still do at times when I see her perform..........she was tired..run dowm mentally and physcially. Hell, If I had all that money, fame, etc. and still wasn't happy (with in myself....I would want to get OUT of this world............AND THATS WHAT SHE DID!!!!!!!!

Free 2bMe Ohhh please!!!!! She couldn't have a good girlfriend, without being called gay, i personally think that she would being gay, we could have at least one proof somehow, like we have proof about drug abuse, she couldn't hide It so well, like she couldn't hide the drugs. Sorry for my english
@evaszabo91974 жыл бұрын
@@droopy12able Whitney was a money making machine, and could easily support her extended family, it was drugs, and not working, ( because of drugs) that finally depleted her coffers at the end of her life.

Hey PT! Enjoyed your video today. Cissy Houston comes from that era that image and how Whitney’s lifestyle would look to everybody and that it would look bad for their family. As a mother, she may not have agreed, but she should have made it clear that she loved her...she needed that. I think Whitney didn’t know who she was because of that, and her biggest fight was with her mother. She knew that Jesus loved her, but people who claimed to be in relationship with Jesus didn’t treat her as such. R.I.P. Whitney Houston, truly loved her.

Very good, insightful lecture on Cissy Houston and Whitney. Indeed it is a heavy and devastating weight to bear not having one’s own mom’s support where needed most deeply. I’m sure Whitney was incredibly grateful for all that her mom did for her nonetheless, and the latest movie revealed her mom was indeed very proud of her daughter’s accomplishments. Perhaps she has had a change of heart since then. We all have lessons to learn, and the movie has added a little more understanding to what hurt Whitney the most. In Cissy’s defense, the Church has long been extremely dogmatic and brutal about its invented morals. I think more people are getting to see through that now.

I love Whitney and I recall that her mom had her in clubs singing when she was a kid. If her mom had not encouraged this type of lifestyle, especially when she was a kid, no guilt trip or blame intended, I wonder if she would have been stronger and stayed away from the drugs. Whitney should have continued singing in the church. Holywood is too corrupt with so much evil. She had such an amazing talent. When she was singing the national anthem at the Braves Game I was so proud of her. That was an Amazing performance. God gives us gifts, all of us, and we must nurture and use them for HIS Glory.

People abuse drugs to cover pain! I so agree with you Pt. about Cissy. I miss Whitney too. It might be seem crazy but I generally mourned Whitney Houston even though I never personally met her. I miss her personality and her beautiful voice even to this day it's hard to listen to her music without heartache and tears. It damaged my emotions even further to see the demise of Bobbi Kris. Just utterly sad, I'm going to end this comment now because I'm on the brink of tears.

I still Listen to Whitney almost everyday. I always thought maybe she was bi, but either way it doesn’t matter. Love love love is all that matters. And Boy George once said “Drugs are always a substitute for what u r not getting in life.” And wherever it came from, I don’t feel Whitney got real love from her family. It reminds me so much of Judy Garland. And her mother did the same to her - pushed her to be a star. Money, fame, nothing is worth loosing your child. God bless Whitney for the love she left us.....

PT, I’m a a sister who truly believe that people are who they choose to be, I love no matter what, or who, it is sad when people hide behind their on “truths “ @ the end of the day the Lord will be the Judge! As parents our job is to train & teach our children the way the best we can . To LOVE should be a given no matter what if this was the case concerning Mrs Houston (Whitney) it’s sad, But The Lord will justify & deal with ALL IN HIS TIME. Yes she along with so many are truly missed, but will NEVER BE FORGOTTEN! Be Blessed My Brother!

Excellent points brother !! BOTH of my parents judged me too from a young age esp. after the divorce in 1977 ( I was 14)..I wanted to be what I am today, a Recording Artist / Entertainer and I am HAPPY !! 34 of my 54 years I'VE DONE WHAT I LOVE AND make a living at it !! ....I TOUCH PEOPLE'S HEART WITH THE POWER OF MUSIC !! ...But in there eyes I have " wasted" my life !! ....I HAVE a ZERO RELATIONSHIP with my 80 year old " mother " who still talks shit about me every chance she gets and Nick Sr. passed in 2013 ( he never looked at me for 33 years and I don't miss his bullshit !!) THE LORD has blessed me and that's ALL I NEED TO KNOW !! God bless you and Whitney too, we were both born in 1963, I LOVED HER TOO !! * Peace, Love and JOY ! ..NICKYDEPAOLA.COM

And another thing about Mrs. Sissy, she use to have Whitney at 14 years old performing in night clubs in Time Square during the 70's... She introduced her to drugs by dragging her into night clubs. I ran in and out of night clubs in Houston in the 80's. And drugs were very prevalent. Come on.. Now imagine Time Square and hole in the walls in New York City in the 70's. And it was very common for us to smoke marijuana at 14.. And Whitney said she started smoking much younger than that...

Pt my daughter is gay and I had a hard time accepting it at first with that said Pt I believe in the Word of God and yes I can’t throw rocks at nobody cause all Sin is Sin Murder, stealing, lying, it’s all sin and we have all Sinned And Come Short of The Glory of God. I’m not perfect and we are to Love The Sinner and Hate the Sin in anybody. It took me a minute to get there but I love my kids from the bottom of my heart but if they sin or see me Sin then we can’t compromise that word or twist or turn it to fit our lifestyle and if I Sin let me know because we are also helpers of one another. I have a abundance of love for any race, creed or gender. (Hun what you say) Pt that was a old preacher I know he told me to Preach On. Pt I’m crazy too I love you.

I agree with every word. Live and let live, perhaps if Cissy had of accepted it and allowed Whitney to be who she was, she may not of met Bobby, she may not of used drugs to block out the pain etc.. It has to be the worst pain because as a gay man, your mum and dad are the people who really have to accept you for what you are or turn out to be, which mine thankfully did, regardless of religion or society, dont get me wrong, they worried, about mainly society and this being a "harder life" or not the "norm" etc. but they love me unconditionally, and they bought me here! Anyway dunno how I stumbled across you, but yo ass if funny so imma subscribe!! Hahaha look out for me & my boyfriends new EP entitled The Charles Project, we are big Whitney fans and been working on it for the lasr 2 years! You'll see that once the brother told the mother that he got Whitney hooked (on the Oprah show) - she dropped his hand in complete shock. And yes Cissy knew about the relationship. Hell it only lasted their entire adolescent life Whitney did not hide that from her mother. But it was all about image and the picture that Clive wanted to paint for the world of her. All of this made her so sad.

I have to disagree with you on his relationship with Janet, as they were the closest of all the siblings! There are so many videos of the two of them, spending quality time together. Please take a look. You've been misinformed about MJ's relationship with Janet! And, above all, he was closest to his mother, which is why he left guardianship of his children to Katherine as well money!

Cissy's life was not squeaky clean either. She had to do some things to make the money she made. Hell, she sang back up for Elvis Presley. If she wasn't traveling all around the world (without her child) that maniac may not have gotten a hold of her. Food for thought!!! Look at her live shows. Look how Gary watches her and molds her so she could never walk away from the coke. She couldn't break free if she wanted to. She had Gary always in her face as a constant reminder of what they shared - 'drugs'.

Cissy Houston was her MOTHER!!!! NOBODY...could have loved her more. To say that she lived through Whiney...well who does not want to see their child succeed in life? Tired of hearing that nonsense. She DID make Whiney...first as a human being and then an entertainer. That is something you cannot take from her. How do you EVER repay your mother for dear life? She is your god on earth! Paradise lies at her feet. But Whitney had demons like most of us. And her mother simply refused to go against her beliefs and principles - not even for her daughter. And for that I MUST commend her! That took guts considering the morally corrupt society we live in today. I saw the interview with Oprah and could not stop smiling!

I grew up in ‘Newark , New Jersey ‘ known & heard about ‘whitney & her hold family ‘ most of her life “her mom travel with Elvis’ doing back-up singing for him’ Cissy spent a good part of her career traveling & was gone a lot’ “ whitney was born into the music world ‘Aretha Franklin ‘ Dionne Warwick’ all from the same family ‘cousin & Auntie ‘ Aretha Mother & cissy mother’s we’re sister’ from what I can remember hearing’ ( my have that wrong) But they stayed around Newark & East Orange’ N J Whitney started out A Little sweet incident church going girl ‘ yes I heard quit a few romer about Whitney ‘ one of the thing that happen was Whitney was just a down to earth girl & just wanted a simple life ‘she loved Newark ‘but all that change when she started to sing & became well known it was nice to live in Newark back in the day ‘before I move to California ‘I think Whitney started smoking weed’ & moved on to stronger stuff.. to stay in that business you got to stay on top of everything & try to live a normal life it’s almost impossible ‘ & if you don’t have the right people around you ‘ can get into big trouble ‘ with drugs ‘in that world you sleep all day & stay up all night.. and I think she missed her old life styles’ I think she did have a girl friend’ that was in love with her’ it was talked about all over Newark ‘ but I know she also wanted to have a family It’s possible that she was bi sexual’ but back in the day ‘people kind of kept that quiet & some people still do today ‘keep it quiet !! I just wish Whitney could have gotten out of that business before it killed her & her child’ it’s so much more I can say ‘but I think she is in Heaven ‘singing to the master ‘which she love to do’ & now all the angels are enjoying her beautiful voice’ you are gone ‘Whitney but you are not forgotten ‘R.I.P my child🙏🏽🌺💔
