WE'RE BACK!! In this episode we chat once again with Adam from AMT Machine Shop and drive his INSANE Kawasaki Ninja swapped mid-engine Rover Mini. A classic modified Mini like this rarely goes unnoticed in stock form, so when you've got flares wider than a rocket bunny 86 and a sound that'll make a single turbo Supra seem tame, then you know you've got a real riot on your hands. Obviously being powered by a motorcycle engine that revs to 13,000 RPM has its perks too. ;) ENJOY!

To get reverse you can use an ordinary car starter moter with a chain and sprockets on the rear axle, run it straight off the battery and an on,off switch on the dash.

Patrick Bateman much harder to find though. And I am stopping at 400hp as even that would be sketchy for the weight of the car. Plus a lot more aftermarket support for the hayabusa engine

Patrick Bateman the hp is pretty close to what most compact cars have, the torque is lower though. But you really don’t need to go 300kph either so when it’s geared down you have a monster!

Coolest thing I've seen this week. Curious that a ZX-10R engine was chosen over a ZX-14R engine. Guessing the engine was previously tuned for MR12, which is why it was so rich. Any thought to using a paddle shifter with a quickshifter? Nice job. Any performance metrics recorded?

You need to drive a road with plenty of bends and corners as that where the REAL fun is with a Mini......even with a bog standard engine.

Looks like great fun. Outstandingly good built mini👍❤. There are many engine options to consider for the mini, but I like motor bike engine's in mini's (the sound, rev's, & shifter). A H2R engine would be mental in a mini.

This has been a dream build of mine. The supercharged H2R engine would have the torque to really move the extra weight of a car without being so stressed.

I saw a little bit of the livestream and thoroughly enjoyed it! Seeing 3 people who are into cars talk turkey was amazing. But I can't find the video anymore, is it deleted? We don't plan on keeping livestreams up much longer than 12-24 hours and even then they'll be kept unlisted so only if you scroll in your subscription feed will you find it. That first one was just a test run but in the future we'll be sure to schedule them at least 24 hours ahead of time so you can be notified when we go live!! :D Cheers man, thanks for the support.

Too bad but I understand. And no problems; you're 1 of my favourite channels, always on top of the list (maybe because of my KZfaq searches?). Anyways keep on doing the good stuff!

Just because that looks a bit too non-stock, have a little look at the Project Binky series by Bad Obsession Motorsport. Toyota Celica GT4 engine and running gear into a mini. For funsies. You wouldn't believe it to look at it from the outside (and it's not quite finished yet) but sooooo much of it has been custom fabricated by them. Ultimate sleeper! Would be awesome to see a back to back with this when it's done. Shame the Atlantic seems to be in the way :(

It'll be using the ninja transmission I'd imagine (haven't finished the video yet), and bike transmissions are all sequential, yea. That's why he was pushing it backwards, they don't have reverse

Bikes have a sequential gearbox, and most motorcycle engine are all one unit, the gearbox clutch, and cylinders are built in one unit.

@@patrickarchibald6787 almost all in 1, you can still strip gears in a motorcycle and replace gears. More annoying why don't they use auto blipers so you can shift up and down without a clutch

If you know anything about mini's you'll know its as safe as it was from the factory.. fitted one inch from the bootlid at factory...

Is there a way to fit a busa engine to a normal car gear box so can rev low and have revers gear must suck if you want to go backwards lol

No mention was made of the motorcycle the engine is from, or the capacity of the engine. I'm a bit of a Kawasaki nut, the instrument cluster looks like it came out of a Z1000, but they make more like 130 HP.

5000rpm is still a crazy good Powerband! to have for an N/A But i mean you could always fix this with a Sneaky Little 100 Shot to make power another 3000rpm or so Quicker Couldn't imagine 5000 to 13000 tho Lol,
