► In todays Genshin Impact Account review, we're taking a look at a Day 1 player who took a break from the game, but is hopping back in with hopes of 36 starring the abyss.. ohh and did I mention they're a DPS Thoma main? This is a VERY interesting account review that literally shocked me a few times lol. Does he have enough strong character to make it possible? Have they been leveling the correct weapons? Where did the resources from day 1 go?! Whether your a brand new player or returning player, there's always something we can improve on, so let's find it out to help not only this player, but all of ya'll as well :)

This seems to be a consistent problem I see, even among my friends (and even more so with people who follow streamers), of being way too picky with their artifacts. They only go for absolute god pieces and toss everything else so they end up with almost no artifacts overall. Right set, right mainstat is more than enough to start like Eakes mentioned, and that initial power floor makes a big difference. For example, even if the substats are bad, having an on-set ER sands on an energy hungry character like Yelan or Beidou makes a HUGE difference. People discount or don't realize the raw power just from the amount of mainstat you get.

I'm starting to wonder if I'm getting too picky with artifacts... orrrr I just don't farm them enough. Yeah, it's probably that.

Part of the reason for this is there are SO MANY "noob guides" that repeatedly say "stats matter more than set bonuses" but then fail to elaborate on that. Like I'm in a similar situation to this account, having played in the early days then took a long break. None of the noob/returning player guides or "which artifacts to keep" guides were clear about exactly where that "good enough" line is and artifact XP is hard to come by when you're also grinding talents, adventure tomes, mora... I've probably thrown out a lot of decent pieces just because I don't know what the "bare minimum" acceptable stats are and tend to only focus on pieces that have the potential to be really good. Obviously even those pieces find a way to roll nothing but flat defense even if the other three stats are CR/CD/Atk, but that's another issue entirely.

@@Vern7exp isn't a bigger problem than resin for eg throwing away a mediocre em sands on deepwood is a huge loss compared to throwing away a decent glad piece but keeping artifacts until a you get a better one should always be a priority

My ping sucks I get belted on laggy character swaps floor 12 too much so I get my 450 to 500 primos and peace out.

Just go full sets, high ER and EM, with ER weapons like Favonius. As long as you have 250+ ER on all of your supports you'll 36* every time. What helps too is checking the current abyss line up for each reset. It'll give you a better idea of who to use/not use. Hope this helps

Hello, I'm new to Genshin Impact and I'm aiming to maximize the damage output of my characters. I recently obtained Furina and am contemplating whether to pull for Raiden. Will acquiring Raiden benefit my Furina in terms of damage output?

@@DoomedVortex Furina and Raiden unfortunately doesn't go that well with each other, but they are both very versatile units that can help you a lot at team buildings

I see in this account what could have happened to me as a fellow Thoma main. So glad I went for burgeon Thoma. Sure I spent a lot of time in the Gilded/Deepwood domain for him, but that also got me artifacts for Nahida, Yaoyao, Alhaitham, Kuki and Baizhu. Thoma does great as a burgeon trigger and his burgeon team was my first team to really feel successful. I have the opposite artifact problem, though. I hoard artifacts, taking the Eakes philosophy of "if it's your only one, it's your best one" way too far. Then I strongbox junk 5*s and never have enough artifact xp. I'm jealous of that C6 though. 120 wishes on Venti's recent banner featuring Thoma only got me 2 copies. Eakes has said it before and I'll say it again, wishing for 4*s is pain.

What I always do is complete the set first and run it and choose an alternative later. Especially for support characters. The characters that uses deepwood, VV and noblise. They just want to have the full set and it will suffice. Focus on your DPS. Give them the best artifacts even if its just a 2pc pair.

I quit around when klee came out. then came back in 3.3 gotta say as someone who was mainly an electro user my favorite character was fischl. i was very satisfied with the changes the game made since i quit. got a yaoyao in lantern rite and the game was on easy mode after that. how the hell can you not 36 star with a neuvilette and his weapon that man alone can clear one side of the abyss.

I have Neuvillette and I struggle to 36 star, mainly due to the fact that I'm mobile, don't have his c1 or wep, and also I just have a skill issue. He's still a lifesaver tho

okay, i haven’t finished watching the video, but (i’m a cyno main) and honestly, black cliff, and deathmatch (WHICH I KNOW IS THERE) are, in my opinion, a much MUCH better option then white tassel for him. the inazuma craftable MIGHT be good, but honestly, even when you’re running him on aggro or quickbloom (which are i think his optimal teams), crit stats are much more important. Of course, something like staff of homa or jade spear are also really good, but seeing as they are already taken up by two very liked characters by the owner of the account, and the two 4* weapons are currently unequipped, they’re just getting wasted, and cyno could make good use of either of them!

I agree with the individual recommendations throughout the video on how to make the individual characters better, but I don’t like calling out all the strong unbuild characters and saying build these, since it would take years to build them all well. I think it’s much better to make 2-3 teams and focus on only the characters in those teams from the start. That would much quicker improve the account instead of recommending a bunch of unfocused characters. There’s no reason to tell someone that Yaoyao (or any of the other 4* characters) is great, if they are never going to use her.

I can't take it anymore. I'm sick of Xiangling. I try to play Diluc. My Xiangling deals more damage. I try to play Yoimiya. My Xiangling deals more damage. I try to play Cyno. My Xiangling deals more damage. I want to play Klee. Her best team has Xiangling. I want to play Raiden, Childe - they both want Xiangling. She grabs me by the throat. I fish for her. I cook for her. I give her the Catch. She isn't satisfied. I pull Engulfing Lightning. "I don't need this much ER" She tells me. "Give me more field time." She grabs Bennett and forces him to throw himself off enemies. "You just need to funnel me more. I can deal more damage with Homa." I can't pull for Homa, I don't have enough primogems. She grabs my credit card. It declines. "Guess this is the end." She grabs Guoba. She says "Guoba, get them." There is no hint of sadness in his eyes. Nothing but pure, no ICD pyro application. What a cruel world.

I feel the same at the end. I've only been able to complete 36* once, and it was on some easy rotation. But of course I hate wasting time on abyss and I go for single run every time. On this rotation I did 33* completing all chambers between 6:52 and 6:58, I know that my account has trash artifacts but whatever the amount I spent in domains, I never get anything good or when I do the upgrades always screw me up, wasting perfect cr/cd substats by proc-ing the bad 4th line multiple times every time (got probably over 1000 artifacts from the new domain and my Navia still doesn't have any usable piece... it's so dumb).

to clear abyss with least amount of investment, create hyperbloom team. If not, then er is your friend not crit. Although having a good crit stats is always good, having enough er for consistent burst damage is way better.

I'm Ar 57 and only gotten 33 stars the amount of artifacts looks similar to mine, lol. I do my best to have only on set for my characters so I never have to switch so I get rid of everything in strong box for better pieces. I play all the time but for 2 years I had a bad laptop that was nearly ten years old. It took a hour to load into the game and I couldn't teleport or it would get me out and take another hour. So I couldn't farm the way I wanted to. I'm still working on leveling my characters and talents now that I have a gaming laptop. I have 1% on akasha Furina and 2% Hu Tao. I'm proud of my builds and my teams. I use Hu Tao, Furina, Kokomi, and Nahida for my first team and Yoimiya, Zhongli, Chiori and Bennet. Hoping to get Siguine for my yoimiya team. I just don't like bennet or Xingxuo that much so I try to avoid using them. I know their good but I just don't like them.

I blame my lack of rotation knowledge for my inability to get all stars on floor 11, never mind 12. Talents all up to 8-10, pretty solid roster, decent at worst artifacts. No five star weapons though. Or five star cons. Least I can finally reach chamber 2 of floor 12. Or did once, anyway.

Rotation really just means "what order do you need to cast your skills in so that everyone's main ability is up at the same time" Five star weapons aren't that important...sure they help along with five star cons but a good team with a good rotation is more important assuming ppl on that team have decent artifacts and leveled main talents

@@2aalui know you are asking Eakes but wanna tell this: Raiden reruns like once a year. Sucrose around every 6 months. Are you ready to wait for Raiden one more year? Especially if after her there might be a Kazuha banner (easier gameplay than Sucrose). Not trina to brainwash you into pulling Kazuha ofc. Just think about how rare reruns are.

I love account reviews🤣 mainly cuz i get to see how upset chat gets lol🤣. As someone who personally dislikes/hates the playstyle of alot of the surpport/sub dps characters. I just dont do abyss. Lol i dont really mind, i get to use my fav characters and listen to the great Music Also my bennett STAYS AT LVL 1 wielding the dull blade with 0 artifacts. Fischl is acually cool tho

im 59 ar amd fid never passed 33 star abyss i just cant my artifact are goated i have 10 dps and no one work i have all of there support and still no life what can i do

One of the biggest problem this account had was that spent 500 runs worth of resin on Thoma. Thats 10000 resin that could have filled some gaps. At this low of AR account you cant dump that much resin on one character. Maybe if it was a C6 hyper carry DPS loke Neuvi or Yelan but id still rather spread out that resin.

Looks like my bro runs 4 dps in first half and 4 dps in second half. Never bothered to build any proper support and c6 Benny. Not surprised that he has never got 36 stars.

usually comes down to team building and rotations once your chars, talents, weapons, artifacts are leveled

@@deathmetalalchemist5861 I mean I play Neuvillette, Yae Miko, Kazuha and Zhongli on one Team and then Wriothesly, Xiangling, Furnia and Baizhu. Sometimes I also do Childe National or my Xiao Team (Xiao, Faruzan, Thoma/Fishl, Bennet) depending o the enemies

@@scribble_sketch hard to say, Wriothesly, XL, Furina, Baizhu doesn't seem like a very strong team on paper but I don't play burn/melt much so idk...also depends on the abyss, for the current one I'd want double hydro for chamber 3 first half at least, can always go back and do it separately...for second half I'd want Xq or Yelan as they are so good single target...hyperbloom or aggravate definitely for 12-1 boss but could always go back and do 12-2 and 12-3 bosses separately...any chambers you have trouble on, go back and do them separately with full energy to start..fwiw I used Kazuha, Kokomi, Furina, Yelan first half and hyperbloom second half, variant of hbloom I used isn't the strongest but very safe (DPS Nahida, Xq, EM Raiden, Zhongli)

I take a break of three years of genshin, and can make 36 stars. For me players get too picky with sub, they dont have a base for play. How someone with t5 weapons and strongs characters like Neuvi nd Nahida dont get 36 stars?

If you have enough Emblem, Deepwood and Gilded, then it's not that bad, especially if you have furina, it can work on any old charachter

No I'm doing so too since 4.0 , still my Wriothesley and Fischl build looks like biohazard, why hoyo whyy?! 😭 Fischl is still getting carried by her teammates and a4 passive but my Wriothesley situation is just sad , and also after farming for more than a year I somehow don't have a single Gilded dreams crit damage circlet 😑

I really don’t think ppl realize how many accounts can actually beat abyss but they choose not to or don’t realize they can. Like legit artifact sets don’t matter as long as you have the right stats you can have no set bonus and still win. The abyss is not that hard and having stuff just makes it easier but it’s really not that necessary.

That's just false, my characters are cracked, with fully leveled weapons and high talents and cracked artifacts but I can't 36 star abyss, so either you're wrong or I'm skill issueing😂

@@saadplays8214 you're skill issueing or you don't have the right sets/weapons. double check what comps you are running. assuming you have all 8 characters at lvl 8 talents and lvl 80 weapons at least, you need to move on to figuring out what's wrong with your gameplay. obviously i cant know without watching you to see what you're doing wrong but it may be you arent proccing reactions properly. as far as comps go hyperbloom is a nice crutch. I personally run it for my teams. i use Keqing/Collei/Barbara/Venti and Cyno/Kuki Shinobu/Xinqiu/Dendro Trav all with decent weapons/sets and lvl 8 talents these builds are far, far from meta but Hyperbloom carries them by itself

Mobile does make it way harder… I have to do it on mobile every now and then and just the lag alone costs you an extra 20 seconds at least… that said it’s still doable but you might need to fully max out your gear for that platform… I find I need my absolute best stuff when I have to be on mobile

Thundering is pre-cons the best since it even lower the er req. (having spam multiple elemental skills). Guilded and TF have like 5 to 10% dmg diff. Cyno is insane as damage dealer in hyper/quickblooms and aggrevate.

No, TF is his BiS. More E procs meaning more energy being generated. Allowing you to decrease his ER needs and go for more offensive stats. 230 EM is nothing big to lose when you’re running external EM buffer like Nahida, dendro resonance, or a teammate that can use Instructor set.

@@Kalavalsar 230 em is a lot to lose because I have R2 SoSC so it’s more aggravate damage and extra 391 bonus atk I’m giving up if I don’t use GD🤗 but I checked calculations online and it says if you don’t have his weapon, TF is better, so you guys are right because most people don’t have his weapon. Please, allow let me make use of my guilted dreams pieces I got from farming deepwood for my Baizhu, I need to convince myself it is a resin efficient domain!!

Pretty sure he is missing a 0 in his total amount spent. 4000 not 400. He's got so many 5 star characters, especially weapons. Also specifically how he has more of the newer 5 stars like Neuvi or Wriothsley etc. Otherwise where are all his artifacts that he's saved up over all this time..? It doesn't match his character levels or weapons. Definitely cashed out for the primos to get the chars/weapons Lol
