I see a lot of fishos not doing one thing. When you get into a big girl and she decides to run on you, raise your rod tip. It's a physics thing. To strip line, she will have to work against the rod and the drag instead of just the drag. This will wear her out faster, meaning you can land her faster. This is why our rods bend. Obviously with bigger fish comes a bigger chance of just snapping your rod at the tip, so it's not like you want the butt straight up and the tip pointed at the water and the rod doing a full horse shoe bend, but the bigger the bend in the rod, the more the fish is fighting the rod and reel, not just the reel. When they run, rise the tip and make them work for that line. edit: Also once they get over 85cm, barras turn female. The big ones are always girls, always breeders. Give them extra care if you're releasing them, and unless you are fishing in a stocked dam, please let the big breeders go, preferably without landing them. You can get photos or videos of them still in the water and protect their organs by not belly lifting them out for a photo. 58cm is legal minimum size (60cm in the gulf,) so to keep your favourite waterways well stocked, target 60 to 80 cm for table fish. Anything over 85cm and I will try to get the hook out without landing her, but that's just a personal preference.

Timestamp your videos or section them so audience can jump to each part. Watching the whole hour is tiresome....

@@bowlysfishing Im just saying, sectioning the videos makes for a better viewing experience that way the viewer doesn't have to scan and search through an hour of footage
@bowlysfishing
@bowlysfishing 2 жыл бұрын
Why would you have to do that??
@gabrieljohn9876
@gabrieljohn9876 2 жыл бұрын
@@bowlysfishing because 90% of the video of you just playing the fish. Its not very exciting and so audience retention can be low when your videos are long and slow to get to the point. Sectioning it allows ppl to cut to the parts they want to see (bringing in the fish) and that way more people will be likely to view more of the video (which they will be shown more ads) therefore bringing more revenue as opposed to then clicking off due to boredom after like the second fish. The metric is called audience retention.
