I feel like fujitora blinded himself because he saw the god valley incident or a similar celestial dragon hunting tournament, marines were statuoned there to protect the celestial dragons while they commit murders and the Marines were told to turn a blind eye towards the incident so fujitora literally blinded himself due to his powerlessness against them

Sounds plausible. I used to think he used his observation haki before he saw Imu in the throne and avoided the Gorosei killing him. And because he was so committed they made him an admiral as he clearly has contrasting views compared to Akainu and Aramaki so it obviously was not Akainu’s choice to appoint him.

This better lead to a scene where Usopp is first panicking over how much heat they got from the fight at Egghead, and then getting news with new bounties and panicking over that and finally panicking a third time when he sees that his title of "God" got him an even higher bounty or at least got him a "dead only" type of bounty.

the two kids that Kuma heals after Ginny beats their ass are two of the fat guys from Bonney's crew introduced in Sabaody during chapter 498. One kid is the guy with the cowboy hat and the other kid is the guy smiling behind Bonney to her left with the moustache. The main features of the guy with cowboy hat are the hat itself, the suspenders he wears, the pronounced freckles on his face, and a big rotund face. One of the kids in the flashback has all these features. The other crew member isn't nearly as detailed as the the cowboy hat guy because he is in the background of the panel introducing Bonney at Sabaody but his main features are his hair style and the mustache. As an adult his hair is much more curly but it points up the same way his hair points up as a child. As a child he also has a moustache. However as a child it is fashioned as a pencil moustache while as an adult it is fashioned as a handlebar moustache. look at the 2 panels in chapter 1096 where Kuma heals them and they tell him the pain has gone away. All the details are there. I have been reading one piece since 2003 and one thing I have learned over twenty years is that you can't read this story on a cell phone screen because you miss all the details from a tiny screen. Even the image size from physical volumes or a computer screen do not do it justice, that is why I connected my computer to my television. To make it easier to pick up on the details you need the panels from each page to be the size of like an iPad. Unfortunately not every reader is able to read on a giant screen.

I could see Gloriosa falling for Rocks because the Kuja Warriors viewed strength as beauty. It might also explain why she eventually returned to Amazon Lily since her love had died, in other words she "recovered" from her Love Sickness.

Given the kind of manga One Piece is, if they ever do show a Kuja’s love dying, I would not be surprised if she’s sobbing one moment, cheerful the next, and everyone nearby yells at her over it. I mean, I say that, but I’m pretty sure the first Kuja love we’re gonna see die is Rayleigh, and I gotta be honest, I had Rocks and Gloriosa first and foremost in my mind when the idea for that gag came to me, so… yeah, I don’t think I want that applied to Ray and Shakky… 😭

In regards to Higurashi and Semimaru, when they first revealed themselves to Orochi, they were already looking ancient levels of old. While it did take place after God Valley, it was still only few years after, Oden wasn't even the the Daimyo of Kuri when Orochi started working for Yasu.

I Love this theory, that would make sense if the paw paw fruit can extract intangible things such as memories and tangible things such as pain, and even ethereal things such as a soul then it shouldn't be too much of a stretch for it to remove a time limit, a simpler method would just be to remove luffy's battle damage and fatigue and pain but removing the gear 5 time limit would be EPIC.

Pushing Luffy's tiredness away after using G5 to spread it evenly among the Strawhats seems like a more balanced approach... granted someone else gets the paw-paw fruit fruit or a certain Seraphim that has it somehow joins the Strawhats hmmmmmm

Something that might be worth noting on Kuma’s “tyrant” title. He was introduced alongside Doflamingo who took control of a country by manipulating its king. Could it be possible that Kuma is a direct contrast to that by being someone who was manipulated into doing something terrible (possibly to protect Bonny) and that’s what earned him the “tyrant” title and ultimately cost him his kingdom?

Unfortunately that's no longer the case, the Mero-Mero no Mi's effect lingers even after it's user's death, with even the new user being unable to undo the previous user's handiwork, while the Hobi-Hobi no Mi's effect undoes if the user simply lost conciousness. It's unknown whether the Nikyu-nikyu no Mi fall into either category of Paramecia DF

Imagine if Nika wasn't really one person, but a Group of people with dfs representing parts of Nika. Kuma's df is hands of Nika, luffy's df is soul of Nika and maybe there are some other. It could be nice parallel for five possible dfs of gorosei and Imu

It's kind of funny that one of the most important flashbacks in One Piece history is being discussed in terms of romantic love. Glorossia is revealed to be a Rocks Pirate and automatically everyone collectively began speculating who she was in love with. TBF that is the second or third most important role in the story. There's also Kuma and Ginny, who if they do end up being Bonnie's biological parents, that would make them the most adorable couple. Two kids that found themselves in the worst life imaginable, escape it, then grow up and fall in love is just plain adorable.

I'm pretty sure that when Bonney used Distorted Future, she gained a Buccaneer body. That should help confirm that she is Kuma and Ginny's child (or a clone containing both of their DNA?), her Buccaneer blood is just more diluted

Nah the chests from the island with Gaimon would be from a previous hunting games on that island. Remember these games took place every 3 years on different islands. These could easily be the empty reward boxes from a previous competition.

It is really interesting to note that Garp was not worried about Rocks or even what was taken from Hachinosu but IMMEDIATELY jumped into action when Roger became involved, even showing up to God Valley specifically calling out Roger. This leads me to two ideas: 1: Garp potentially knew about the "treasure" taken from the Pirate Island but wasn't making a big deal about it to cover it up for some reason and was calling out Roger as a red herring 2: Rocks wasnt that much of a threat going into God Valley but something happened on the island that turned Garp and Roger away from each other. Something else must have happened during the events of God Valley that made Rocks a real threat because Garp didnt care AT ALL that he was going there. If that is the case then whatever Rocks did at God Valley was so world shaking that it turned him from someone that one of the top marines wasn't worried about to someone who had to have their entire existence covered up.

One of my favorite "Kuma moment" this chapter was him telling Ginny that he wasn't a slave from birth but became one at 4, I see it as him knowing she would cry for him and wanting to spare her even that.

With the amount of Rocks pirates on thriller bark, it wouldn't surprise me if thriller bark was God valley. They both have coliseum like structures as well. Heck, Black beard technically has thriller bark because Moria sailed it to his island, and he is collecting Rocks memorabilia.

I don't think Gloriosa is Yamato's mom since kujas only give birth to other kujas, and while in Amazon Lily we didn't see any kuja which seemed to be of mixed origin. And if I'm not mistaken they also only give birth in Amazon Lily. Instead, I feel like she had a thing for Whitebeard since we see her arguing with Stucy over what he says, like two girls bickering over the boy they like, which could explain why modern day old Stucy needs to clarify to the world that SHE was WB's lover and bore his child. Also feel the need to point out the similarities of the two peaks in God Valley to the Candi Bentar (the split gateways) which might or might not have any importance, but hey, fun design fact I guess?

I think the man marked by flames who "supposedly" may hold the last ponegliph is someone we already know There was a prominent character from the past that was encased in flames on Reddit, Mr. Morj, after saying the raid on Onigashima will fail which I'm sure was enough to leave a permanent scar

So I think the reason why Kuma was the least popular warlord before ties in well with why people are going to like him so much going forward. We have known Kuma for years as this silent, emotionless beast who's lost his humanity almost completely. Like its clear that deep down in there he's got some kind of emotions, but its been really hard to see/tell exactly what they are. And because of that, when we got to see the silhouette of Kuma dancing and singing with a young Bonney, that his hard for me. Like REALLY hard! Like normally when you see a very stoic character finally break and show happy emotions its such a big, uplifting moment in the manga, but here it is the exact opposite. Instead of seeing a Stoic man slowly give in through the series and start goofing off with the others, we see a man who was once happy and vibrant who has had all of that happyness stripped away from him. The fact that we have now see Kuma with emotions is going to make all his robotic moments hit so much harder now. We now know what he was before the series started, so his actions during the series are going to hurt so much more.

Even just the suggestion made from that image, that the Rocks pirates look like the Straw Hats is just insulting. Even in that shot of all of them jumping off the boat, they are running to do things for themselves. They aren't going in with a similar goal. It could not be more opposite of the Straw Hats than anything else.

I honestly would not push the idea of Yamato being Gloriosa & Kaido's child away, since from what we've seen...Gloriosa & Yamato do share a similar hair colour, and we've seen with Kaido, he does not have such hair colour so Yamato had to have inherited his white hair colour from his mother

Kuma uses his paws of Lineration as Franky uses the Light Sword in Shogun Franky to fight Garcia till Luffy gets Haki once more inorder for them all to explain. He uses shogun Franky as he doesn't really need to move.

His final push for liberation should be for his daughter. Theirs so many ways it could be taken. She needs to have her ties with kuma cut, it sounds heartless but the only way she'll be able to move on is if her dad lets her free. More like force her to give up on him but whatever way you gotta get the job done... It would go along with Kuma sacrificing himself to liberate whoever he chooses. I could see him taking the role as "bad dad" to get Bonnie to give up on him and go on with her life. Like how he literally sacrificed his body to protect the ship at saba odi.

Roger is the biggest hit in the series, he took sides with the celestial dragons and Marines and took out his rivals that he couldn't do alone and let them keep all those slaves on God valley

Out of all the things in that chapter the one I found most bizarre was one of god's Knights (who is behind Figargarland Garling in one panel) has a bovine skull either as a mask or as their actual head. It's very un-One Piece looking and aesthetically) looks like it belongs in another manga like Berserker.

Dude, I’m still convinced that Bonney is a clone of Big Mom. The close up shot of all the Rocks’ pirates with Big Mom just looks so much like Bonney. I think the Ginny girl is almost certainly died during this hunt they showed…which obviously would mean that Kuma and her couldn’t have a kid together. I also think that’s why Vegapunk was so set on not letting Bonney know everything about Kuma’s past…idk. That shot of Big Mom just made me think Bonney is almost certainly a clone of her, but I think I might be too caught up on the clone thing because of Egghead Island lol cause I also am set that Blackbeard is a clone of Rocks. Which is why Oda will not show us exactly what he looks like…

If Kuma really is going to Egghead, he should reabsorb his memories to revive his empty shell then he'll blast Saturn away with his paws and save his daughter Bonney from the marines. Then it turns out that Dragon and Sabo were following Kuma's trail and ended up at Egghead too. Meanwhile, Bartolomeo's wrecking another one of Shanks's territories when suddenly Shanks himself shows up and before Bartolomeo can react, he Divine Departure's him, his crew and his ship and throws him into the sea. Shanks is annoyed to have to damage a ship with a figurehead Luffy on it, but it sinks with everybody anyways. Back to Egghead, Vegapunk is fixing up Kuma while Saturn has come back to Egghead using his demonic powers. Gear 5 Luffy, Dragon, Sabo, Zoro (who just defeated Lucci), Kizaru (who had a chamge of heart), Sanji and Jinbe engage him in battle. Saturn will be defeated by these six in a difficult battle, then everybody gets onto the Sunny. Suddenly, the Ancient Robot pops up and offers to take them to Elbaf. They agree, and they go to Elbaf with Kizaru, a chained up Saturn, the surviving Vegapunks, Stussy, Dragon and Sabo (who tells them about Cobra's dying message) Meanwhile York has been kidnapped by Devon and Laffite of the Blackbeard Pirates who then go back to Pirate Island with the traitorous Vegapunk. Also, Imu erased Egghead with the Mother Flame so all the marines are dead. That's what I think the Egghead Incident might be.

It feels that the swirl on the rocks pirates jolly roger, may symbolise the devil fruits. One of the reasons Rocks pirates came to the god valley, was devil fruits. So maybe Rokcs are collecting powerful devil fruits, like black beard pirates.

One thing about recent chapters that has left me scratching my head is a Conny, the old women that rules Sobert right now. Bonnie when she ages herself up looks like her allowing her to pose as her. Which would imply there’s a relation between the two. But Ginny is the character that is likely Bonny’s mother, and she was a slave with kuma. My initally thought was that Conny was Ginny’s mother and the queen of Sorbet, and when Kuma returned with Ginny to Sorbet he’d marry Ginny becoming the king…. But now they look like they are living a simple life alone..

One more thing that I noticed that Liam didnt touch on was that with the Kuma and Ginny story we have started we now have a solid place in the timeline to place the child drawing of Kumo (with him carrying a bunch of sticks on his back and dressed in rags) that Oda did way way back

The buccaneers are probably the ones who manifested the Nikka devil fruit to begin with, and the hands of liberation is probably also symbolic for being a member of the creators of the warrior of liberation in the flesh. As in the “hands” that created the Nikka fruit from their hopes and wishes.
