What that is meaning is that God as the Son gave up (temporarily) His High Position in Heaven to come down to Earth, be incarnated in a human Body, and live 33 1/2 years as a Man, before He was crucified and ascended back to Heaven. Giving up His High Position, he paid the price for our sins in the Cross, defeating Satan and opening the way for us to be saved. Christ is not only a lamb of God, but a lover, the Bridegroom who will come back and marry the redeemed ones, the Church. It is God's heart's desire to gain a counterpart for Himself. The desire is shown in the creation of man. Adam and Eve, the first marriage, between a man and a woman show His desire to be one with man. Adam and Eve are a type of Christ and the Church (Gen. 2:18-24).
