If a gargantuan return comes out, can you do a full playthrough of this and gargantuan return, because it totally changes the game, and i do think the mods can work together, since thus automation mod is more of building and gargantuan return is more for story

The devs of the 2 mods actually said they were working together to ensure that the return of the ancients and alterra suite work properly together so there should be no issues in that

I'm so glad someone else finally made a video on this mod. All the big content creators only really cover really big stuff like the return of the ancients mod. Personally I think mods like this are just as good.

This is extremely impressive, and honestly solves a lot of the resource grind issues I have with Subnautica. Being able to trade rare resources for money to buy the titanium, lead, or whatever I don't feel like hunting for would cut out a lot of drudgery and keep rare resources exciting beyond the few you need for a few technologies.

this would be especially good in below zero too, not only since BZ has pretty lacklustre gameplay, but also the huge diamond and ruby deposits

I do not have a resource issue. Just get your cyclops ferry the prawn and the sea moth to the lost river and you have all you need

@@brettpeckinpaugh Yeah, how is it even possible to run into resource shortages in this game. The map has enough resources to win the game 500 times over.

@@brettpeckinpaugh By the time I'd finished the campaign I literally had every single thing needed to just build the rocket right after going back home lmao. I only had 1 day on that save and I'd got more than enough of basically every resource in the game. What OP was complaining about is laziness lol

I have no words for the sheer amount of effort and dedication they put into creating this. It is absolutely, without a doubt DLC sized lol! Edit: It also makes the game feel like Satisfactory.

This mod reminds me a lot of modded Minecraft, I feel like the devs were a little bit inspired by it, especially the digital storage since it's AE2 for Subnautica Also I like the fact that this mod allows you to have a happy ending with no debt. I wonder if it also changes the ending scene

I watched about 20 seconds and then went and got the full download. I had a load of these things from before, fridge and harvesters and some of the power bits etc but I like the look of all the other bits. To be honest I have been waiting for these guys/gals to do some/all of these things for Sub 2. Some of the best mods I have ever seen when you take into account all the aspects.

Maybe even a procedurally generated infinite world with the centre being the main crater. Wouldn’t be all that lore friendly tho

Damn Alterra is really competing with FICSIT. Can't wait to see what Aperture crafts up in Michigan. Surely Cave Johnson has an idea on automated machines. (Anyways LOVE this mod. also love The Stanley Parable music. I'm a TSP fan as well. Hope you enjoy Ultra Deluxe!)

You know what I love about this? I've never even heard of this mod and it comes out a day after the video goes up. It's been effing 16 months since the gargantuan was teased, and still nothing on that front. What an ever-loving joke.

My only problem with this absolutely incredible mod is that i feel like I couldn’t use it too much. It feels like there’s too little game for all of this stuff to be used to their fullest extent. By the time you solve the disease and build the rocket… now what? If there was a mod that made the game much longer, it would pair perfectly with this

You could do what I do, start a new game and not bother with the story and just live on the planet. That’s what I’m doing currently, just making a house and fishing.

this stuff would be SO cool for multiplayer. I just imagine the teleporter being used for players to get around to one another's bases. You could even create hubs for biomes and stuff. Really makes me wish there was multiplayer for subnautica :(

I'm really happy to be seeing some bigger mods for Subnautica coming out. I remember when pretty much all of the mods were still simple quality of life mods. And while I still really like QoL mods, its very exciting to see mods that add whole new content.

I can't wait to play this mod, I haven't actually wathced the video since I don't want to spoil myself. Kinda sad I won't play it soon, since I am waiting on return of ancients to release, but once it does, then its going to be like playing subnautica again

These guys are amasing!! They really deserve our recognition and love! Amasing work! The only thing i would love to see in this mode is to FCS studius intruce them selfs in to the Subnautica lore... Imagine that FCS Studius is an Mongolian tech company and that wrech being part of the Degasi ship! That should be great!

our new friend will now EAT the neptune escape rocket. and when the sunbeam gets eaten, if you look carefully, two lifepods can be seen falling just before our new friend eats it. so, maybe before you can escape, you need to find an upgrade to the rocket's thrusters that will cause some serious damage to his throat. or find a way to distract him. somehow i doubt an offering of fresh peeper will do it. if you're cruising in your cyclops, just minding your own business, he will swim past and glare at you. still no official release date, though. in the words of Pinkie Pie: "i'm so nervicited!!"

You guys are PATHETIC, FCS. You have time to troll and monitor YT'ers videos to see what they are saying about you, but you don't have time to put out updated (fixed) versions of your mods on your main download page?? Pfffttttt... And don't try to corral people into your Discord. Casual gamers, like myself, aren't going to jump through hoops looking for a hot-fix or patch. Just put the bug-fix patches on your main download page so EVERYBODY can have easy access to them.

1440p 60fps! Now I can get scared in higher quality! Also wouldn’t the peeper juice vending machine mean that alterra already knows about the wildlife? I thought the degasi ship had no survivors (besides whats-her-name) to send info to alterra?

Hello, this mod is not compatible with Subnautica for GAMEPASS. There is also a different process to modding gampass subnautica, as it runs on a different version of the game. More info on the subnautica modding discord.

I adore this mod, and while it sure has some polishing here and there it implements its concepts as mechanics as something the subnautica world would have, the things I would mostly like to be implemented/change is: - Have a easier way to transfer data storage disks, as in have the options to empty them in another base or quick global transfer of items between bases, I like using Cyclops+Prawn to gather extra resources but it is a bit tedious having to manually send in the ores into my other bases. - Make it so that the quantum teleportation is unlocked after reaching the final alien base or getting the recipes for ion batteries, for lore reasons more than anything.

This mod is going on my list of "mods I want for my future modded playthrough" which died after I learned that the bloop mod hasn't been released... I'm also still learning how to install them, but I've been putting it off for right now. Maybe when I come back to it, I'll get this mod and have some fun with base decorating and stuff like that! :D

@@arole212 years late, but just in case you're still interested, the Bloop is a part of Socknautica, which is a free download. I believe you can also just download the creature pack with the Bloop separately if you don't want the rest of Socknautica.

I feel like this mod would pair well with the Return of the Ancients and De-Extinction mods. Just imagine the amount of credits you could get by selling Ion Cubes to Alterra to get rid of some of that (somewhat excessive) debt you have. I wish I could get my grubby Switch hands on these mods, but the incentive to save for a PC setup is definitely there.
