They don't "taste" anything. That's a myth. The only thing they consume is flower nectar which they reach with their elongated proboscis since the nectar is in a hard to get part of the flower.

I was looking for this exact comment. Thanks! I have a very mixed breed rescue that looks like this, but blonde. When researching her features i kept coming up with toller retriever. I don't plan on dna testing her, but I'm pretty sure she's gotta have some toller retriever in there lol

Yes they're so perceptive aren't they!! My little shih tzu seems to sense when someone isn't well and he gently goes to comfort them. He usually wants a tug-of-war with his paint roller!! Yep his favourite thing in the world that thing 🙄 I keep finding it under my pillow so I guess it's "for good wear" 😁❤️

It's animated people. Look closer. The butterfly isn't affected by sunlight, it doesn't throw a shadow. It's augmented reality.

@@Bendersnatchling Are you trolling? Because your "shadow theory" doesn't hold up. If you look midway through the clip/short, you will see one of the butterflies, on the dogs face, (just above his/her right eye). And as it opens and closes it's wings, It's shadow can clearly be seen on the dogs muzzle.

I could be wrong, but I have a suspicion that the person recording this is putting the butterflies on the dog to make these videos.

@@girlygirlbutterfly Butterflies are easy to catch. If I were to make a net, I could catch them easily. I could even catch them with my hands but its something I wouldn't do because they are too fragile. You can also sometimes get a piece of the plant the butterfly landed on and then move it onto you if you move it slow enough so they don't fly away although most butterflies will simply fly away. I still doubt those butterflies are landing on that dog. As for the clip with the crown, The crown was likely either placed on the dog after the butterflies landed on it, or the butterflies were put on top of the crown after. I suspect that more than likely they put the butterflies on to the crown unless they are in an area with an extremely high number of butterflies.

@@Adohleas Nowhere in the video does it insinuate that this happened spontaneously. It's just a really cute video, and surprising that the dog seems so comfortable with butterflies all over him.
