I am super understanding of the split screen thing. You can tell theyre doing their best with this, and they could have 100% said kick rocks. So this absolutely is fine.

I'm genuinely surprised that they found a work in for split screen tbh. When I first heard that all of the stage destruction and visuals were real time rendered a while back, I knew immediately how difficult split screen would be and that it might not show up for a minute. If anyone seeing this comment didn't know, the old tenkaichi games had those features pre-rendered. No matter how you hit buildings and environments, they had a predetermined way to be destroyed. This made it MUCH easier for split screen to operate with no issues. That isn't the case in Sparking Zero, now destruction varies depending on the force of the attack and the area it hits and because of that, split screen could affect the performance of the game negatively since they would be showing two different viewpoints of the varied destruction. Of course the destruction isn't the only varied visual in the game, but overall the burden for split screen is very high on the game.

I spent a lot of time on Tenkaichi 3 creating my own Dragonball stories and for them to be giving us a game where you can literally bring it to life is insane, i can only imagine the scenarios people are going to make.

The Custom Battles thing reminds me so much of the WWE games. I stopped playing them years ago, so maybe that idea ended up getting dropped. But at least you used to be able to make custom scenarios and arcs with characters and scenes.

You're 100% correct on the SDBH:WM thing. It has a mode where players can make custom battles others could play. The best part was all the people finding ways to make the highest difficulty missions as easy to beat as possible so players could farm high tier rewards lol!

Lotus, I got my friend coming over at least 1 or 2 times a month, and every few months, we get the gang together and go do an event. We first went bowling, and then we just went to go watch the new Mad Max movie. We also had plans on ice skating, but that fell through. When Sora came out on Smash Ultimate, my friend called me within a minute, and I was over at his house practicing that same day.

I haven't pre-ordered a DragonBall game since DBFZ and that was 8 years ago! Sparking Zero is about to be my next pre-order. Good lord I am so excited! The game is giving me Budakai plus Tenkaichi vibes! Ahhhhh! I need this game in my life!

Also what I'm loving is that even though I'm an online player and have no real need for split screen the devs listened to the community. Despite it being difficult to implement they found a way to add split screen play to a single stage. Limited but very understandable. Alot of love, care, and effort is being put into the game and that's what alot of these titles are missing. DBZ Kakarot was a fun and decent game but it was very repetitive. The combos were simple. And once I got the platinum I've never touched it again. It had virtually no replay value. Except for the DLC which was nice. But sparking Zero..? Oh boy I can see the potential. Once this comes out I'm gonna be playing this and this alone for a good long while.

I'm also super hype for what if scenarios. This has me thinking they may give us characters like ssj3 Vegeta and ssj3 Z Broly(remember they added them in Raging Blast 2 through what ifs) and others charcters fans have wanted like ssj4 Vegito. The possibilities for DLC will be endless with this what if story set up. Ive wanted ssj4 Vegito to be playable for so long.

Hope when the game comes out that they will be a lot of new & fun collabs on the channel for versus matches. Would be fun to see you make content with other DB creators not within the usual squad circle like Datruth or others like that. This game is so hype nonetheless.

I pre ordered the Ultimate edition Lotus tenkaichi is back.

They cooked, even with the bummer that the local multiplayer is locked to a single stage, it's still awesome that they took the time to develop the mode considering they originally didn't have it in mind (or developed at all for that matter). Got lucky earlier this week and managed to pre-order a Premium Collector's Edition, so I'm locked in regardless.

I do think that the anime fighting game genre has been slacking a bit (sure, UNI2 and Rising came out this year but those are basically upgraded rereleases so I don’t count them) so I really do hope this game reinvigorates a lot of hope in the genre and brings us a lot more good games. Much as I love anime RPGs (3 Atlus RPGs in the same year is insane) I do want a lot more to look forward to, so hopefully DBSZ does that for me.

Tbh I have mixed feelings bout the split screen. At first I wanted it for what everyone else wants it for, and that’s just the nostalgia sake of fighting against friends, or siblings, or any family member. Wanted it for that reason, but at the same time.. I didn’t want it because games are really heavily focused on online multiplayer, and I’m gonna be honest. Most of my friends I play with online for years live in different states, except one. So that’s another reason why I don’t really care for offline local multiplayer, and I figured they were gonna limit to what they can do with offline local multiplayer because of the things they been doing with the game with all the stage destruction, weather change, and etc, and it will affect how the game performs with split screen. So I don’t think people really took that into consideration instead of just wanting it for nostalgia sake.

As much as I'm hyped for this game and waiting patiently for its release, there's only 1 thing, that I really don't like about the game: It's the wiggling hair effect. It's always the same on every character after every attack they cast or suffer. It doesn't really look good imo and also not "natural" if you know, what I mean. But yeah, with that being said: I am challenging everybody, COME AT ME!!
