Longbow Radiance Dragonhunter WvW. Without access to trapper rune stealth, DH is much more responsible for it's actions and positioning. However, with proper use of the combos and kiting in between your burst windows, you can unleash its true potential.

I don't believe it 😂 You were the reason I wanted to make a DH for pvp cuz of your old DH pvp videos I made my DH toon it was too squishy and I was laking heavily in PVP and wvw and I got so confused.... Nothing like the playstyle of my berserker Yesterday I legit seached "Vallun Dragon hunter" hoping you made a new video after the updates and found nth and said I wish he makes a new DH video.... Well explained! Love your content always ! I like also to play with fragment of faith it gives several aegis you can pick one by one when needed and it gives more tempo to wait for cooldowns and with the relic its cool (but with some traits adjustment)

Nothing new concerning weapon master, is it because willbender with a bow is bad or sword offhand is bad? no, I just feel like the DH playstyle is already perfect the way it is, it's the most fun, and it still is the best way to use a longbow.

Any thoughts on axe/shield and lb for the extra pull from axe 3 and cripple/fury from axe 2?

I played (PVP) this build with glass canon gear and trapper rune. As long as you have mates to fight frontline you're absolutely shredding. Dmg increase through spear and cripple + LB2 out of invis were absolutely devastating.

I only started playing after the trapper rune was giving just 1 sec stealth but the 3 secs of superspeed per trap were really important in pvp when you were being trained hard.

Vallun did a Cele Firebrand build a while ago. It probably needs an update but it's otherwise still viable.

Heya! Here's a suggestion for you what you could test, i'm having a lot of fun with it right now, but there's a chance i'll make mistakes because i'm relatively new to the game, not even a year, and maybe three months into WvW. I wonder what you can do with 2x sword / sword DH? Another option that I find fun is 2x sword / hammer DH. I hope you will take my suggestion into consideration. Cheers! 🙋‍♂️

Hello Valium, Thank you for all the time and effort that you put in to help the community of GW2. There is one thing as a new player that I notice is missing, and that is definition of terms. I mean like when you mentioned, shield 5 and long bow 3’ etc.. I’m sure there is a video out there that explains in depth the lingo but I have yet to find it. Been playing for 3 weeks now off and on because I keep going back to find videos on some of my questions. My apologies for being long winded.

lol actually when I say shield 5 or longbow 3 that is the simplest way of expressing it. Instead of saying Shield of Absorption, I say the Shield skill on the fifth key. Theres only 5 weapon skills so its always the fifth one

I really love the DH playstile. But when your opponent has enough stability or dodges the f1. Most of your dmg is lost. Thats why I don't play it anymore. Its just too easy to avoid the burst dmg and then the fight is over

DH is amazing against mediocre or distracted players. If you land your burst, hoo, you got them good. But then you meet a skilled player that knows what to dodge and they just shut it down so hard its not even funny.

If you think invisibility is a problem then they should nerf those thiefs give them stealth health recovery in stealth and this extrem mobility and they are still not one shots, till then give me my invisibility on traps back^^.

i think they should nerf it on thieves, not give it back to dragonhunters. But you can cope if you want

DH was never meant to be a stealth class in fact trapper runes synergized best with thieves and rangers before they reworked thief. It was stupid on DH and wasn’t even the best build imo. It was good but very easy to counter once you knew what you were dealing with. Thief can only one shot in d/d and maybe rifle but one of those play styles is super risky and the other is literally boring af to play against but easy to kill if you catch them 🤷🏽‍♂️. Trying to use thief a class meant to stealth and do high single target damage to justify a tank class having stealth is silly

@@animedrummerboy I didn't mean they one shot everytime, I meant that they if they get shot attacked etc. should die and not go into stealth vor 1 sec and come out full hp.

@@Sharptooth666666 it’s almost like the game was meant to be balanced and allow ppl to have options to survive or disengage 😂. No offense l2p most thieves are predictable and most ppl don’t even try to guess where they are and don’t attack the area. Idk how many thieves, Mesmer. Rangers I’ve downed in stealth just bc I know where they would pop up based on their patterns. Sorry the game actually forces you to play 🤷🏽‍♂️

I play basically the same build with only just a few changes. If you want to improve your dmg by 10% more try brawler relic as it procs from resolution and protection. And shelter heal is unreliable as there are too many unblockable attacks + it has the longest cd of all healing skills.

it works to use the signet of resolve, but i feel like people underestimate how much shelter actually blocks sometimes

Opened up this video to say I completely agree. I personally really liked stealth trueshot. But I understand others not liking a suprise 12k attack. I guess DE is fine though... (reee)

I was giving this a go and it seems like everybody and their dog has 247 stability. Personally I had more success with 20sec cd 7% strike damage rune. Your longbow 5 followed with 2 leaves people at 30-40%

Realy good guide! But in the current meta were 80% of all players are running cele builds while roaming, there is no point for it … i know your standing on cele gear and respect it, but power burst builds dont work on people with 3k+ Armor, perm prot and massive sustain!

you're correct in 1v1, but most people dont 1v1 so just gotta play to your situation, and if you wanna 1v1 then this isnt the build for you

PVE is good, WVW is good, PVP is utter garbage. New expansion is different. Story is very good. Skyscale is now super accessible.

@@susulemons The weapon choices are actually the best part of pvp atm. What's making it bad is what's been making it bad for years, decline of player base, dogshit matchmaking, match manipulation, afkers, flamers, cheaters. All of this.

they ruinned the only pvp build i like to play with guardian.... the first nerf was already hard.... 3 sec to 1sec but now no stealth and no super speed... even if it was not strong it was fun....

no, it was strong and overly oppressive that's why it was removed. You can learn to play with others not play at them

@@Vallun it was only strong against bad player and mele like warrior, everything at distance destroyed you, never win a fight against mesmer or ranger with this build. i speak about 1v1, i only do 1v1 pvp. and why delete the super speed ?

Sorry man but as someone who has played in the highest tier of spvp and wvw. If you come across a even competent player of any other class of equal skill DH is just bad. You dont have the same sustain it's been giga nerfed, you don't have the same burst anymore because thats been giga nerfed, and your combos are so predictable as a dh nobody will get pulled or even walk into your traps. It's just not viable for same skilled pvp. Even thiefs will demolish dh's in 90% of combat. Anet just has overbuffed every elite spec the power creep is insane. They could revert DH back to HoT pre nerfs and it still wouldn't be as good as other elite specs.
