When I play Dva everyone immediately swaps to beam hero’s and I can’t even play the game

Erm, acktually Dva CAN eat unlimited damage, just for a limited time.

um acktually 🤓 Dva can only eat projectiles, not beams, so technically she can only eat an unlimited amount of a specific type of damage for a limited time

My advice to add would be also knowing when to save a boost while being patient when hiding behind cover. So when a squishy is slightly out of place, you can boost while using rockets to bring them to one or two shots . Then commit to the elim with a melee or a few standard shots. It seems as if multiple times for this whole game you have the opportunity to commit to getting a kill on a squishy but then back off completely and go do something else and then back off that and go do something else .so he’s definitely right you’re trying to do too much at the same time.

Overused matrix. You die to the hog so much because you just waste it.

They also died to hog a lot because they wasted boosters or weren’t thinking about getting hooked and boosting into risky spots like that ledge. Getting hooked without boosters is super bad- worse than without dm. Dm sometimes will not save you from a hook if you are severely displaced. This is why cooldown management is important.

I typically pick Hog as a counter to Fist or Ball. Just an easy way to disrupt dive tanks that has enough kill threat to make them think twice before engaging.

I just play the same character the whole game. Doesn’t feel skillful to swap to a different character and try to counter a doom or whatever.

@@Wusyaname_ knowing when to swap and who to swap to AND being able to play the hero you have swapped to in order to achieve the goal that motivated the swap is an expression of skill. being able to play a hero successfully despite being at a disadvantage based on any number of factors is also an expression of skill. but refusing to swap does not mean you are inherently more skillful than someone who does swap when needed.

@@sethescope i climbed to masters refusing to counterswap, the most i ever did was a side swap to someone who could help my team better. Counterswapping is an expression of inablility to adapt to senarios and unwillingness to better learn a hero.

Agree and disagree. The Dva is absolutely overusing the defence matrix. It is still fine to use it against other things. Just keep the meter in check. Also, I agree with Emongg. The dva is trying to do too much at the same time. Establishing a good pace and focus is so important.

@@Wusyaname_ no, they said to _stop_ using it to save it for the important stuff, the reply says there's a midpoint between only using it for the "important" stuff and constantly having it on cooldown

@@Wusyaname_ Not exactly. I still think it is important to be used during regular combat. Just keep an eye on your meter to make sure you have for the important ones. It is all about balancing to sustain your team and yourself.
