Theory: So in the opening when you see the neighbor locking someone in his basement, I think it could be Aaron, because after the Neighbor's wife and daughter died, Aaron was locked up because the Neighbor doesn't want his last family member to die.

12:57 THATS THE SAME BED AND BLANKET IN HELLO NEIGHBOR ACT 3!!!!! In the room where you have to copy the picture of the skateboard and hat and stuff, there’s a rickety bunk bed with an orange blanket that’s like that, with the lump under it. But if you look under the blanket, you see 2 glowing eyes!!!! It’s in the exact same shape too!!! With the weird point on top!!!!! Idk what that means, but I didn’t notice it the first time I played this game.

also here is a theory i posted on a differant video but i cant be bothered to write again This is a theory for hello neighbor so if ur not intrested in theorys or other peoples opinion in particular (then why are u here u monster) then just skip over. After watching the full game and all of hide and seek ive made up my mind about what i think that this game is about(feel free to dissagree). So, the neighbor( or as he will be known in this theory Mr Peterson) had a wife and two kids. the kids liked to play in their imagination land and every meal time they would go and eat at the table with their mum and dad( im brittish so mom to u is mum to us). the kids and their parents were all great friends as well as a happy family. one day Mr Peterson took his wife for a car ride. in the car ride however, they got into a car acident where the mum died. since the neighbor was driving he blamed himself and fell into a deep depression. because of the loss of their mum who was also a good friend they were upset. Mya (the daughter) was sad but supported her brother and father. Aron (the son) on the other hand got angry that he couldnt do anything. The kids played still but it was a darker more forboding world they played in. they imagined a graveyard with their mums grave. Aron got really mad and stole Myas doll that looked like her mum probably made by here mum to. The final game they played was in the real house only, everything was big. when Mya finnaly found her doll it was at the end of a long, high up beam streaching from the Peterson's house. Aron, in a state of fury, knocked the doll out of Mya's hand then turns away, however in a state of anger still he nuged Mya a bit to hard, causing her to fall backwards off the beam, killing her. Aron realises what hes done and runs away whith all his stuff exept a baseball ( hence why we only see a baseball in the room with all The familys old stuff in act 3 of the full game). the neighbor bueries his Daughter in his garden (or back yard) to avoid any problems with the police about how his daughter died. He puts up missing(or simming) posters all around the neighbor hood with his son and daughter so that it doesnt atract any attention about them only being one of his children on the poster, but niether of them in the house. the bit about him kidnapping u can also be explained by missing peices(a book by tiny build that helps clear up some of the loose ends of Hello Neighbor but not all of them because thats another point that makes the game fun, working out what happened). In Missing Pieces it says that Nicky Ross, your caharector, was friends with Aron and Mya. It never says in the book though, that you meet their parents, so u wouldnt know that its their dad whos kidnapping u. Mr Peterson would want to kidnap u because his kids wouls always talk about u, so, u would be the closest thing to hin to having his kids back. I also have a theory a bout Shadow man. I think that shadow man takes the form of ur worst fear. ur shadow man takes the form of a man because of the disturbing part of ur life being kidnappec by the neighbor. The neighbors takes the form of a child because, just after losing the love of hi life, he lost both of his kids, replaced them, then lost the replacement. But all that is is my take on the game Hello Neighbor. as i said at the start feel free to dissagree but if u have made it this far then at least my time hasnt been wasted. Plz dont hate on my abreiviations or my brittish way of speaking. I put alot of time into this and i just dont want any hate. I can summarize the whole story through this alone. The neighbor had a family of four. The Brother, The Sister, The Mother, and him, The Father. Everything was normal. The two siblings played hide and seek to pass the time until dinner. One day, they notice their mother and father missing. The sister is worried about them, and tries to call them, but they never picked up. The brother tries to cheer her up by playing hide and seek yet again. When it's dinner time, the father returns home, telling them that their mother died. The two try and comfort the neighbor. The brother is sad about this. He's going through a lot. The sister goes upstairs, and sees that the brother is angry. He eventually plays hide and seek with her, reluctantly. After dinner time, he starts to get physical. He keeps abusing her. Trying to emotionally and physically hurt her. The brother takes her doll, and is presumably grounded. The brother forces her to play hide and seek. She doesn't want to play, but she wants to cheer her brother up, so she plays. After getting her doll back, the brother throws it off of the roof. He gets angrier. He then accidentally pushers her off of the roof, and kills her. The neighbor now has to bury two of their family members. He's now in a fit of rage after digging them into the ground. He locks the brother inside of the basement. He is never seen again, and he tries to tell himself that they're not dead. They're just missing. The neighbor puts out missing posters. Now he's broken on the inside

The neighbor trapped his son in his basement and his son is the shadow thing .

Anybody remember the first Hello Neighbor? That kid the Neighbor was pushing in his basement that was screaming is most likely his son, think about it. He was angry at the start of the game when pushing that kid into the basement and the Neighbor probably got so mad at his son that he kept him in the basement for killing his daughter. That shadow boy thing in the Neighbors basement is probably the son. Also in some of the versions when you ran down the flight of basement stairs you would see the basement full with drawing and a teddy on a children's cot or bed.

Ending Theory:the kids there were actually on the real roof of the house and the daughter found where he put the doll,after that errand pushed her..but he didn't mean to push his sister off he actually accidently pushed her and the neighbor locked his son in the basement because he thinks he did it on purpose

It said Aaron was missing, Aaron in the books said he knew what happened to his sister and said 'Trust me, Nicky, you don't want to know." the Neighbor/Mr. Peterson would have no idea how Mya died therefore Aaron couldn't have been in the basement, Also who Aaron pushed of could've been a different kid Aaron pushed off cause Mya's nails don't look like that, plus the only bracelet Mya wears is her Golden Apple young inventors club bracelet, she doesn't wear a bead bracelet, Mya could have died from other circumstances, such as hiding in Golden Apple Amusement park, or never coming home from that, it says she is missing like Aaron so she could've gotten hit by a car on her walk home from hiding in Golden Apple Amusement park when she said 'You don't understand Nicky." and 'He's getting worse." I think that is how Mya died. Also, it said Mrs. Peterson/Diane Peterson started smoking, she must've died from smoking. Also Enzo has a sister Matzilda, the hand you see get pushed off has the same skin color as Matzilda.

I think that personally, Erin shoving Mia off the roof was slightly intentional. you see him swing his arms at her directly, forcing her off. But anyway, the million dollar question. now the million dollar question. What happened to Erin? Many theory's are out there: The brother couldn't take it and committed suicide, the brother is the protagonist after he runs away, but I think Erin is the one in the basement. take Act 2. you wake up in the room all shaken up and and you're trapped. but then, some paper figure breaks you out. pause your screen at the moment where you look through the keyhole and find that paper figure. It looks just. like. Erin. and that just makes sense. But does everything really add up here? you think it does, but something is slightly screwed up here. go back to act 1 of the normal game. in the very beginning cutscene, you see the infamous "simming" posters, which mean missing. there is not only Erin on that poster, but Mia as well. That could mean 2 things. A: The neighbor wanted no one to know she died and put her in a secret grave, and let everyone assume she went missing, like Erin. or B: this will throw you for a loop. what if, Mia didn't die? yes, she fell off the top of the house, but you jump off the top of the act 1 house in the real game, you don't actually... faint? whatever that death sequence is in the real game. Let's say she miraculously survives. The neighbor believes Erin intentionally shoved Mia off. so Erin and Mia are sent to the basement, and the whole main game starts with Erin failing to free the basement. So, what do you guys think?

Hello neighbor theory the kids had fun in till the mom died and it shows that in hello neighbor and hello neighbor hide and seek and after that the son pushed the sister and it shows that in hello neighbor and hello neighbor hide and seek and after that the neighbor buried the sister and the son hid under a shelf it show s the first part in hello neighbor hide and seek and shows both in hello neighbor and the neighbor finds the son and puts him in and then the kid you play as in act 1 and 2 finds the son but don't see him and at the start of act 2 the son set s you free and then the son grows up as the person that you play in act 3 and that why the neighbors mad at you in act 3.

Story behind this: “The neighbour” had a family of four, two kids and a wife. After they moved into their new home, the children play hide and seek every evening to pass the time until their dinner is ready. The neighbour got in a car crash, killing his wife. It tore the family emotionally. Sending the neighbour into a depression and his son as he was still young, he didn’t know how to deal with her death. He was so emotionally hurt he’d become angry and violent. Or as some people describe him, “a jerk.” He’d begin to abuse his sister both physically and mentally even though she tries to help him the she she can. He steals her doll and attempts to force her to play hide and seek though she didn’t want to. He’d take her doll up to the roof, leading his sister up there. He’d throw her doll off of a wooded plank out of anger, accidentally pushing her off. At this point the neighbour is seriously hurt and angry with his son for killing one of his children. The neighbour develops serious issues and as punishment, he locked his son in his own basement and attacks anyone that goes on his property. I’m hello neighbour hide and seek trailer, every few clips the young girls doll fall which represents her getting closer to her death, and when the crow takes the doll it represented her dying

That explains the mannequins, they represent the dead family members or maybe the beige or not wanting to come to terms with the deaths. even the grocery levels back in alpha 3 I think prob represent where their parents could have gone an give a hint as to how the accident happened. each chapter in hide seek represents something the first and second is just children happy at play, the 3rd with the fire is the death of the mother and what was to follow. everything went to hell Cuz of the accident. The 4th represents how they cope with the death, the sister seemed to be strong but the brother was angry the neighbor just sad and not sure how to carry on. He wasn't there for the kids Cuz of his mourning. The last represents how the neighbor became the insane, crazy guy we knew from the beginning. I'm still not sure how the raven or crow fits in but hey I'm sure anyone reading my comment will connect even more dots with the information I provided.

Kindly Keyin PLEASE read this comment it will hopefully explain some things! Every act of Hello Neighbor the full game means something! The first act showed how the mother died and why the parents were gone in hide and seek, the second act shows how the sister died, the roller coaster did! But the roller coaster wasn't how she died, did you notice there was a hole in the neighbors roof! I'm pretty sure you did! Maybe the kids were on the roof and the sister got pushed into the hole. Then comes the third act. That shows what happened to Aaron, he just might have been the one screaming in the basement! We always wonder who the shadow thing is, well Aaron might be the answer. When you get to act four, after defeating the giant neighbor, you go over to a small house. Where you see the neighbor trapping the shadow thing in the basement. I think the shadow thing is Aaron because at the end of hello neighbor hide and seek, Aaron was a very mad kid. Aaron must have become the shadow thing and the neighbor didn't want Aaron to be seen or heard of again because of what he did to his sister. We all know it was an accident but we will always get mad at him. Aaron could of actually been the shadow thing and I could be right but that's just my theory! Hope you liked this comment! Granny has a mobile 1.6 update!! There is pepper spray to blind granny (probably for the rest of the day) but if you touch her ... You're dead. And she can see on the next day, there is a remote control for the under the stairs room which has the spray.

Truth time ,what we know neighbor has crazy house and keeps something or someone in basement. He went through a tragedy he had a family. My theory in this game we get answers, the begining chapter 1 was just a fun game of hide and seek until chapter 2, the parents are gone, this is when the car accident happens you know the accident we saw in the fighting black ghost thing level (i cant remember the alpha). the last two chapters show us how the children are copig with their mothers death, hide and seek is now an escape for them, the brother is angry and the sister who of course will look like her mother reminds him of the mom so everytime he sees her hes angry with his mom for dying and leaving him. The sisters death was an accident he swung his hand and hit her while turning around. He didnt mean to. This piece of information taken back to hello neighbor tells us that the grave we saw in alpha 2 probably the sisters, the mattress we see in his basement with the teddy and candles hes probably keeping the brother down there cuz the brother may have gone crazy losing his sister an mother. Not wantig to lose is only child he locks him down there, the missing posters are his kids, of course he would have to report them missing pple who know him would notice his children not being around. the neighbors house being wacky to begin with is a part of the childrens imagination, and they have an awesome imagination if i must say so myself. the falling doll in the hide and seek trailer represents the daughters death and black shadow thing most likely represents the brother. Thats why the neighbor doesnt want us in his basement cuz we'll learn his secret. no evil was ever involved just a family torn apart by tragedy.

Omg i think i know what happend to his son, my theory is that, u know the boy that we play as in the normal hello neighber game, i think thats the son when he grew up, thats eren, and the dad is catching him cause he does not want the son to live with him, cause the dad is upset that eren killed the daughter. Also thats why the neighbor is upset cause his wife and daughter died, but im not sure who was in the basement.
