Zeeree! So excited for you man, it’s been a long road to get to this point. Like you, I just kept blasting away on boxes until I pulled my own Matthews so I got really excited seeing Mathewson, Lindell and Schmaltz pulled as those guys were in my Matthews box as well. Super happy for you man, great content!

Congrats on the matthews pull. And thanks for the memories. I got every young gun from series 1 and series 2 except for matthew tkachuk. Got Matthews, Nylander and Marner in all 3 formats...regular yg, canvas yg, and jumbos. Back when it was $30 a tin with 12 packs and a jumbo. Good break!

Good for you, you finally pulled a card I pulled in my first box in 20 years - a blaster box none the less, lol... Oh and some fat packs, lol... Those 2nd year McDavid's sell for $10 USD all day on eBay - at local card shows $20. Keep in mind when you buy on eBay you have to factor shipping - so sure, a 16-17 UD McDavid could go for $6 USD - if the shipping is $10-12. But this "2nd year premium" appears to only apply to McDavid for some reason - it doesn't apply to any other player - it's really bizarre... You know who's been underrated recently - at least from 15-16 and 16-17?? Panarin and Eichel - of course there are others that come to mind but those two - at least their value in the hobby - DO NOT reflect their values.

FINALLY!!!! Congrats!!! Best pals used to sell a 2 pack of Series 1 & 2 for $8 ..I spent about $150 on those and pulled 2 Matthews to my huge surprise! Congrats again!

The second I saw the Schmaltz it was destiny! So glad after all these years you FINALLY pulled him yourself! 🎉🎉 I’ll never forget when I pulled mine from a Series 1 retail box Boxing Day 2019 🎄 Also, man what a look at when Upper Deck actually gave a shit and their quality control was actually quality. Those times are long long gone now

I bought 2 blasters and hit Matthews... It wasnt til a month later i realized that the odds of me hitting him in those boxes was super low. I paid 140 a box, local shop in edmonton

I’m still waiting to pull the trigger on a Matthew’s YG. My 10 year old daughter plays and wears #34 because she loves him. I may go the mega trade route tho because I can’t drop $500 on one card. Congrats Zeree and thanks for the constant entertainment!

On a side note, this really shows how much of a gamble hockey cards are. The top 2-3 guys go for lots of money and guys who are still decent players go for almost nothing.

The hobby is predominantly Canadian. Even though these guys are great If they play on a small market they won't draw much.

Awesome! made that a possible sound investment- rather than the bloodbath it was headed for. Seeing the current prices of YGs of good players is kind of shockingly low- Konecny $10, Lindell $1?? wtf- hes a good top 4 dman on a good team, any slug who plays 1 game is worth $1.
