Vishal Prasad Gupta, a 42-year-old engineering graduate from Ranchi, Jharkhand, has innovatively tapped into the potential of microalgae from local ponds to extract biofuel. This eco-friendly fuel not only offers higher mileage but also contributes to renewable energy and reduced air pollution. Gupta has established a biofuel pump named "More Mileage" in Ranchi, selling this biodiesel to consumers. Operating from a small plant with approval from the Union Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, he aims for large-scale production, having initiated partnerships with the Ranchi Municipal Corporation to harvest microalgae. Surprisingly 'Kai' or 'algae' is the main source of oxygen in the atmosphere. If it will be used as a fuel, then rapid depletion of algae will definitely affect the oxygen percentage in air.

Hamein isi algea se crude oil banana hoga. Tohi fir hame puri tarah se fossil fuel se independent ho sakte hein. Kyuki crude oil se sirf petrol diesel hi nahi banta

We are only looking at the pollution which created after burning the fuel, how about the pollution created while developing a fuel from this algae. And the important question is can we produce this to compensate the need of our country?
