The story was so beautifully written in the game, and I was excited to see it adapted, but this was FAR MORE BETTER and made me wish for a second that this would have happened but then remembered it was a game and needed to be executed with that purpose! Anyway this had me bawling like nobody's business. Also heard that they wanted to show a story in which humans won and decide to alter this segment to make it fit

I love that it was there own choice to go out the way they did. In this series, a lot of people's lives get taken from them. It is so powerful in this dangerous world that they had a different choice. That people got to have a life and have love. It makes it more powerful to me. That the human side to all of us is never really gone. ❤️ Also go and watch/hear the podcast for this episode. It is amazing! I was hooked on what they were saying and the choices that were made. Amazing work❤️

The first two eps explained more how it started. No, no one started it on purpose. Global warming caused the cordyceps to evolve to withstand higher temperatures, enough to survive in humans. It infected the flour and grain factory in Jakarta, in the hottest year on record for that city, infected several people there, who then bit others. Spread both from the biting, and from the consumption of flour/yeast products from that factory all over the world. Joel and Tommy weren't infected by luck, didn't have pancakes that morning, refused the biscuits and cookies from the Adlers, never got a birthday cake. The hilarious thing is that you don't think there are people out there just like Bill. They're called Doomsday preppers, or survivalists. Look them up.

I do wish this episode had been done to the game, but, considering how damn wonderful they did what they did, I gotta say I loved it. Home dude quietly crying up top was so nice to notice. I hope to see many more reacters feel so strongly. Wow. Emotional, and beautifully done.

I love this episode, because it focuses on the theme of the show, which is humanity. Bill gained humanity from Frank.

As a Big time TLOU fan, I love how they changed bill and franks story in the series compared to the game. This episode made me cry so hard, and I loved seeing franks character. Their chemistry was so beautiful and intimate and I have wanted more of an in depth story of them since the game. I CRIED SO HARD. I am happy they went a completely different direction with their story. This show has made the right to changes to a storyline that deserved more depth to begin with. I always hate when shows change the original storyline of games, but this was so impressive and amazing. KEEP IT UP GUYS. HBO MAX, KEEP DOING WHAT YOU’RE DOING…. Now change Joel’s death and delete Abby from existence. 😅

I find it unusual that Fax became emotional first than Neel. Neel most of the time is the one to cry first. When I watched this I was more like Fax. There are a lot of emotion-inducing moments in this episode.

Bill is not a happy gay guy he goes by The motto if you help and protect anyone you're just going to get yourself killed I don't know what they were trying to pull that some complete and utter bullcrap they really messed up with episode 3 I don't think they'll come back from this

At the end of episode 2 I was already like wow that was fast it's already starting to fall apart and then I watched episode 3 and realized yep it's definitely falling apart it took away from key moments in the game Ali wasn't able to find the nudey magazine which is an iconic scene from the game killed off bill before Joel and Ellie actually got to see him he barely got any screen time I generally feel like they're just taking shortcuts which generally makes sense if you're talkin about what they're going to do for The last of Us 2 adaptation which I believe will happen but I generally feel like they executed this episode terribly and it doesn't even make sense to give Bill and Frank that relationship saying that Frank left because he couldn't stand being around Bill anymore and hated him generally and it's completely different from who bill was in the video game it's out of character this is January one of the reason why video game adaptations flop because they wander too far from the main plot of the original source material they said that bill was going to have an extended screen time but they replace that additional scream time with some b******* nonsense that doesn't even make sense to add to the show they didn't even have that kind of relationship if they did Frank wanted have hated him so damn much I'm not saying that the show is bad the acting's great most of the characters do a good job acting and I can get over the fact that Sarah is black in the even though she's white in the source material when you making out application the thing you have to put into an account is what the source material is and what they're taking the plot from bill should have been a completely different personality than who we originally was in the game he generally doesn't make sense and if they keep doing this on a concentrate to the show it will flop in its entirety

This was near totally different than the game. The only thing they kept is Bill and Frank existed and they got a car. But they left out all the action and made it a Bill and Frank backstory so save money. It's really a wasted episode that really didn't advance the plot any where it did in the game.
