This episode is easily became one of my top 5s.. Absolutely amazing buildup in the first half, and then flawless execution in the second half. Falco's first transformation, Mikasa's absolute brutality, Connie's Ackerman-level maneuvering, can't believe I'm saying this but even Floch's determined dedication delivering an absolute banger of a scene that could honestly rival the Kenny vs Levi one.. this one has it all. Even a death of not one, but two legends. Rip Magath and Shadis. Also the soundtrack slaps so hard..

RIP Commander Floch. True hero & great patriot. You will be missed but legends never die.

A really cool detail is Conny once said to Reiner back in Utgarde castle about how Annie and Reiner both saved his life and that he has to repay them both back someday. Well, this episode was that day for him. God dammit Isayama.

Do you remember episode called "Bystander"? It was when Keith talked about his life in Scouts and how he met Grisha. The thing is, nobody, besides Magath don't know who blow that ship. So even to the very end Keith keep become bystander, unknown hero, never recognized by others, never will be recorded in history books...

Rest In Peace King Floch. You have never sold your country and never betrayed your people unlike certain demagogues of the alliance who want to cleanse their already dirty conscience and help their oppressors while the latter only think of exterminating them to the last one. You have admirably motivated your soldiers and led your troops during the battle of the port against 4 titans, enemies and unscrupulous traitors. You dedicated your heart and gave your life for yours and that is priceless, whatever the haters say. Erwin Smith has found his only successor.

A sad detail is that nobody saw Keith except Magath, so effectively his sacrifice wont be remembered by anyone. While Floch might seem obnoxious (and he is) everything he is saying is actually right, if they stop Eren the rest of the world will seek revenge and kill all the islanders. While Hange inherited Erwins pursue of ideals, Floch inherited his duty to save his peers from death at the hands of any enemy. Floch ran into the enemy all alone in his final dash avoiding hanges sword, titan attacks and right into Gabis bullet, effectively offering his heart to the cause of saving the island, kind of like Erwin did by running straight into Zekes boulders. Im not saying Floch is good, he is just a byproduct of how Marley decimated the islanders over the years, in a similar but not same way as Eren. A good reminder is that Eren and the crew lived amongst marleyans, humanizing them. But for Floch and everyone back in Paradis they are just entities from across the sea that tormented them their entire life with titans that want to kill them all, so their posture makes sense. And the same goes for the people in the mainland, not having interacted with anyone from Paradis they will think they are just demons that will kill them with titan powers. I think the best part of this series is that all characters make sense, had i been Eren i would have done what Eren did, had i been Jean i would have done what he did, being an NPC in either paradis or marley i would have thought as they do

Just a reminder that Annie only has her adoptive father, not two parents, and the last we saw of him, he was about to attack the Marleyan police who were arresting the Eldians in Liberio.

I think the best storytelling of this show is the fact that nobody's history is clean, and everyone is doing what they truly feel is right. It's different in the fact that there's no real 'evil villain' to speak of. Just humans, doing what humans do, including opposing sides finding common ground and realizing it's the future that matters, and coming together to be stronger for it.

They're not going to Odiha for a different boat, they just need to find a place to service the boat for the half-day the mechanics need, without getting Rumbled and without getting attacked by the Jeagerists the whole time. Shadis wasn't a general, but I think a good comparison to make between Magath and Keith is that they both trained the children of their side to be child soldiers. Also I don't know what people were trying to say about Falco, you were correct in saying that he hasn't really done anything wrong.

Can we talk about the script inconsistencies in this episode or will the worshipers of guru Isayama fall on me if I put their finger on the far-fetched elements that are indicative of the drop in quality of the last arc of the manga? To begin with, why in his delusions does the mangaka make the Jaegerists run in all directions, chase everyone and shoot everywhere except their main objective? The flying boat was covered in explosives, it would have only taken a bullet or a thunder spear to make it sink and blow up everything. Does he make them look like fools or what else? Plus, why is Keith Shadis scum blowing up this train full of young recruits? Hadn't he himself requested 5 episodes earlier from these young recruits he had trained to join the Jaegerists and blend in? It's illogical, didn't he suspect that this train must be full of young scouts that he had saved 5 episodes before? This guy is a bastard and he died in the anonymity that suits this kind of trash. Besides, what is this logic of Mikasa and Connie who act like bloodthirsty savages and who butcher their former brothers in arms? Hadn't these traitors practically begged during the previous episode for Magath and the others to spare their former friends? What was the point of overkilling them like that? It's a shame. Finally, we can clearly appreciate Floch's character development. From a coward, he went from being a leader. He fought with courage and determination to defend his homeland and protect his people. He is truly Erwin's spiritual son and his worthy heir. The most paragmatic and realistic character of the show, always telling the truth even if it is disturbing. He deserves respect. Shinzou wo sasageyo !

Attack On Titan 2 is probably the only one worth playing. It let's you experience Season 1 & 2 through a character you create. The Season 3 content is part of the Final Battle DLC. My only real complaint with the game is all the costume DLCs never seem to go on sale. I played it on PC though so I can't speak for the console version.

I've played only the first game and I wouldn't say it's bad. Gameplay is repetitive, but pretty fun. There are nice and funny interactions with every character which can show you another view of their daily life as cadets and give more depth to their personalities. The plot is all over the place kinda, but it's fun to slash some titans and pretend that nothing horrific happened past season 2 lol.

Shadis was not a general. He was the 12th Commander of the Survey Corps, and later he became an instructor in the Cadet Corps. For that matter, Magath originally was not a general either. He was the chief instructor to the Warriors, and in the episode 4x04, Willy Tybur secretly appointed him as the future new Commander in Chief whose task would be to reorganize the Marley armed forces in the near future, since both Willie and Magath were unsatisfied with how the armed forces were organized. What makes Shadis similar to Magath is not the military rank, but rather the fact that both of them were instructors -- Shadis to our heroes from Paradis Island and Magath to the candidates for Nine Titans.

Shades is the good Erwin he didn't see all these ppl die outside the walls because of him but Erwin did Shades sacrifices him self to save the world and no one knows that he did that Erin was fighting and sacrificing for himself and just himself to know what in tha basement and ppl think that he was doing it for humanity an angle and a devil

If you play the AOT games you should just get the second one, the second one has S1, 2 & 3. The first one is just season 1, and it's pretty bad.
