Matthew gave up all earthly things he had to follow! He knew when Jesus said to him to follow me that was more important than anything on earth!

This was one of my favorite episodes, too! I love that Matthew doesn't even hesitate to walk away from everything; he just knows that this is what he's supposed to do. 🙏✝️❤

This show fills me with such a love for Christ it's crazy. I'm an alcoholic and a sinner, for certain. I even had a three hour long chat tonight with a complete stranger on XBOX about Christ and his message. We ended it with a declaration of love for each other and a clear path and acknowledgment of each other's trail that leads to the aid of others. It's insane what the warmth and passion God puts in your heart will birth.

This is my fav episode. Mathews been watching them like an outsider and secretly wants to be apart of it but he gets invited to join and it surprises him so much but he drops everything immediately which is soooo adorable.

Well Hello, I had to re-watch this to look for the hint of a certain scripture. This is my hands down favorite episode of season one. Moses, Joshua, Nicodemus, Matthew. The meeting between Jesus and Nicodemus brings me to tears every time I watch it. The works spoken just go straight to my heart and bring out the tears. When Nicodemus kneels before Jesus, the words are some of the most beautiful every spoken ( and there I go, the tears. Please note that the Bronze cross and serpent are still used today as a sign of hope???? Its used in mos of our medical symbols. Most variations show the cross 4 or 8 sided, cross with the crucifix and serpent in the middle. Anyway, thanks for another great show.

Just watched this again. Can I just say how much fun it is to watch Taylor! They are all adorable, but she is just so animated. They ask great questions. Hope for the future. My favorite moment in this episode? The clarity in Matthew's eyes when he tells Jesus. "Yes."

Every scene with Jesus is powerful. But a few are downright earthmoving. The scene with Nicodemus on the roof might be THE most moving scene in the show. Though later there is a scene with Jesus meeting his mother after a VERY hard day of healing and preaching. And just watching her take care of him.....the son of God relying on his Ema.....it WILL make you cry. Hard. If you dont, you have no soul.

Jews despised Matthew for being a tax collector, sucking his own people dry like a vampire and a dog to Romans. Matthew thought himself to be rich and high status for working for Romans, but his is a slave for his own greed and money. But when Jesus came, he set him free from his cage as tax collector. Little did other disciples knew, Matthew will one day become the one of the author of 4 Gospels, detailing Jesus's life from his birth to resurrection after crucifixion.

I ment to ask about the counted, sometimes I see the numbers are very low 1, 2 4 6, 9 etc Is that truely the numbers watching or? how does the counter work _ send help!
